This is the donor number for St. Joseph's Indian School, in Chamberlain, SDak, as listed in their online newsletters.  So it is a legitimate number -- just depends if you want to give to St. Joe's or if you want to give over the phone.

Yes.  It is the St. Joseph Indian School number.  They called to thank us for our donation and to give us their business office hours and callback number.  Not a problem.

St. Joseph's Indian School calling to wish my husband a happy birthday. Did not ask for any contribution today, but you know that is the real reason for this call.

They are a wonderful organization that l have been donating to monthly for years. First time they called. I didn't answer because l don't answer any calls without a name. They do deserve your consideration next time you're feeling generous.

St. Joseph's Indian School calling AGAIN, to thank us for past donations and advising that they will be sending information about the school. We already know about the school and have contributed in the past. However, if these calls continue, they may be scratched from my donation list. I will give them credit though for at least leaving a message instead of hanging up on our machine.

St. Joseph’s Indian School is a legitimate and worthy of donations. My problem was after I made a donation I started receiving many solicitations via mail many included cheap Indian trinkets made in china and phone calls.  I'd Like to make an annual donation and be left alone. I should have mad an anonymous donation.

I did make a donation to St. Joe's Indian School.  I think it is a very worthy cause.....Native American children that are basically
orphans, many coming from abusive homes, and parents that have abandoned them.  I'm like some of you above....I hope they don't pester me with phone calls, etc.  I am also starting to get more literature from them in the mail.

That's the only problem I have with donations.  I donate directly to the school.  Never through a fund-raiser.  But the school must have sold my phone number so now we get a at least one or two calls a day from various numbers all claiming to be helping Indians.  We even got one claiming to be a charity that helps dogs on Indian reservations.  Annoying.

In any event, best to donate directly to the school in questions.  I use checks.  Never credit cards.  Never give through a fund raising company.

The number is for St. Joseph Indian School.  They called to thank me for my previous gifts and to let me know how grateful they were.  Not a scam or rip off.

Just found out by reading the posts who they were. I have donated to St. Joseph's Indian School and they are a worthwhile charity however I did block them from calling again. I don't need to be wished a Happy Birthday or anything else.

Calls from st joe s. Not welcome. I give and they seem to be a very nice organization. But I was surprised that about 35 percent of donations go to advertising. Whereas boys town only uses about 5 per cent and 91 goes to the kids education and activities

I give to this organization once per year at Christmas-that's all I can afford being on a fixed retirement income.  However, they call every 2 weeks asking for money, despite the fact I told them to stop calling me.  End result:  I will stop giving all together.  Their money raising tactics border on harassment.  They must sell phone numbers, as now I get calls from other Native American organizations asking for donations.  I'm done.

Yes, the reservation school does solicit donations for the members of the tribe, the school and other
operations. But I cannot understand how it is that Congress and the Department of the Interior funds
paid out are just at poverty levels. If more people will write their Congressman(woman) to learn more
on this it sure would be enlightening.

Yes, the St. Joseph's Indian School. I have donated to them yearly. I typically don't answer my phone and leave it to the recorder.
