Got a call at 5.54pm on the 10th of june 2009.  they are from The Principle Groupe with auto warranty.  claimed to represent Toyota.  I stopped them and asked a simple question, have we done business with you in the past three years.  they said no I said therefore you have broken the law as we are on the do not call list.  He replied I have not and you are not on the do not call list and I told them we have been registered for four years.  He got very upset and put the phone down.  SCUM they should get the facts right.

Call them back and give them a hard time.  They lie and miss use the system.  We have been on the do not call list four years and they say we are not.  Supervisor got very upset when I would not let her go and eventually she said you are holding up our system and then hung up

    same scum called me
called me. i told them we didnt own the car he was describing. DAVE told  me he could not put me on the do not call list (which already am on) if i hung up. told DAVEto put me on his do not call list and then hung up. they called 3 times after that. when i answered but did not speak, DAVE said into the phone "oh, stupid person". then i yelled into the phone, "yeah, this STUPID person can hear you" DAVE hung up. I called him back and asked for his supervisor, DAVE said he was the supervisor. so funny. I of course said i knew DAVE wasnt and DAVE hung up. I am sure DAVE isnt even his stupid annoying name. DAVE keeps calling. I will call the police, the BBB and a lawyer. I know my rights. Jerk.

I recieved a call and since I ive in the area they said I told them I wanted to come in and buy a warranty.  Guess what..  I went and never bought but was curious what this place was.  I figure they they were a scam.  but they have a nice office and I saw all the licenses on the wall. I even met an owner.  They showed me the companies the represent.  The do run a call center so I do not know how they run the calls but it looked live to me.

What does that mean?   I bought a warranty (not from principle) and used it twice with no issue.  I know there are some scammers but if you do not get a policy you should have concern. I was hit up by robocallers and everytime I pressed 2 I swear i went back to  the top of the list to call.  WHen I did get a hold I asked for there name and got hung-up on.  I also called back the 800 number and got a fax.

Look into Auto Warranty Service Contract Association, they are scrambling to shut down robo-callers from what I read.

Most these callers are not the warranty company but a sales orginization which are representing warranty companies.  Ask them who they represent that is the key. Also since telemarketing is legal within the rules of the FTC there is another association caled ATA American Teleservices Association.  They audit memebers.  So that is something to look for.  Yes, I know telemarkeing but not warranties. I ran a sales room for Verizon.  I came to this website when I typed there number in here because I recieved a call from Principle Group.  It was a live person and I had no interest and I asked to be removed off there list.  They very nicely said they would and I did not recieve another call.  Based on that and the way the woman was I wanted to see what others said as well to see if the number and name on the ID was legit.  Surprise Surprise it was..  I think that says alot about a company right off the bat.

We have a Royal plan and have used it with no issue.  Funny thing the shop we went to had a Principle Group poster on the wall. We were talking about getting a warranty on my husbands car that was coming off lease. I wanted to see who they were and typed the number, name and this came up.    The shop guy said they were very responsive and represented like 4 major warranty companies and Royal being one of them.   Have not called them yet but will update if I do. My 2 cents..

You whiny people are pretty pathetic. Look outside your sad little worlds. Millions of dollars in business is generated over the phone everyday in America. Are you such delicate flowers that declining an offer for goods/services over the phone is just too much for you to bear? Perhaps you and the rest of all the angry little people should get together and burn your telephones.

After reading comments from Telemarketer chuckling at you, I realise he, she or it is right.  Why should we in our sad little angry worlds be upset when they call us at dinner time or any other time to sell us something we do not want or need? We should not be such delicate flowers that it should upset us that we must have to say NO patiently anywhere from 3 to 15 times because the poor guy on the other end is trying to eke out a living making these calls because they lost their last job and we are trying do do something so unimportant as run our lives.  How small, petty and angry of us little people!

Well said telemarketer chuckling at us!   And oh by the way  dont call me because I am a small angry delicate person who does not want or need what you are selling.

This caller rings the phone and hangs up BEFORE the answering machine.  I don't know who it is that is calling, and I don't care.  I would just like to stop receiving these calls.  Regardless of these poor people trying to make a living, I'm on the Do Not Call list for a reason.  I agree there are some legitimate companies calling.  Unfortunately, I've had to deal with TOO MANY scams to even want to be bothered by the 1% legitimate calls.  It is also annoying to answer the phone, and the caller hangs up when you say hello more than one time.

I received a call from this number every day for about a week, but I was always at work so I never answered.  Well today I answered and asked to be taken off their calling list and I got hung up on.  Well that made me mad, so I called back and the guy talking to me was TOTALLY inappropriate.  He asked me if I was as cute as I sounded and I asked several times to take me off the list.  I feel really annoyed and maybe I do live in a small little world, but I was polite until he turned the conversation into an inappropriate situation.
