Is that your own telephone number posted there?
Call the number to find out what "business" made the charge.
If they won't cooperate and give you correct information,
go to your bank and ask them to reverse the transaction and put the money back into your account.
The bank might have to close your account and issue you a new account.

Which number appeared on your bank statement?  Why are you posting in that thread?  Why are you using  a phone number as your screen name?

This post looks suspicious to me.  I think for safeties sake, I am going to flag it.  There is no reason to put a phone number up as a screen name, and the post is really ambiguous.

I agree and just for curiosity (taking a break from packing) I googled the number and it comes up with a name (female) and address in Northport AL, including her age.

However, whether or not, this poster is using someone's number is another story. But why would anyone post a number as their screen name unless there is a vendetta against another person.

    Thank you for flagging it.

Either way, if it is her phone number, it is extremely ill advised to post it on a public forum and she can expect a ton of calls because of it.  If not, well then that speaks for itself.

You are so right but unfortunately, it seems the majority of people around lately do not have common sense. I think that term has been eliminated from the dictionary.

They called and informed me that I had old BAD debts, that I had to pay they would be kind and help me I said NO, they called my daughter scared her saying I was a criminal, that I could lose my income, they wanted to help me and she gave them money. I went ballistic we do not live in the same state, I told her to call her bank stop payment. This is the number on her bank record requesting the money Her bank will stop any payment. Have researched online, this company must buy up old paper and try to collect. What they say is my debt has to be over 15 yrs old.

So far its a lot of threats, that I am a criminal, they scared my daughter telling her I could lose my income. What they are calling about has to be 15 years old. They threating me saying they have called the court here and I will be getting a summons, then they had someone call saying they were with the court here and that I would be receiving a complaint, etc. so much talkI can not remember it all but I have some of it on tape. I installed call record software and phone number lookup.

Called asking for my father.  Said he had a payday loan for $500 that he took out last year and he now owed $1160 because of fees and penalties.  I listened politely as he explained that he would be willing to settle the debt for $800 if it was paid now via credit card.  I thanked him for his call and told him he was welcome to talk to my father about it but he'd need a spiritual medium because my father's been dead for 5 years.  He then said I was still responsible for his debts.  It's hard to believe these people are that stupid.  So my father took out this loan four years after he died?  Wow...payday loans must be everywhere, even in the afterlife!

Call the number on the back of your card and request a dispute for that transaction.

Do you know who that someone is or who it said "they" were on your bank statement for that transaction?
