Called for someone I never heard of

This is a scam caller!!!!

I keep getting hangup calls from this number and they leave mo VM. I did answer it the first time they called, no one on the other line. Number is now blocked.

According to Google. Debt collector and never leaves msg. paid off all credit 8 years ago and no loans.

This idiot company called my cellphone at 7:45 am. I don't even have an account with them.

These dummies are calling a line that I have never shared with anyone.  If this was truly legit, they would have called my primary phone number which is the number that I use for both personal and business.

To start, just because you did not share your having that number, it does not mean that it cannot be called.  Also, just because you have that number now, it does not mean it did not belong to someone else who did share that number with others.  Phone numbers are recycled again and again as one person gives it up and it gets assigned to another person later.

Most likely, that number you never share is being called in an attempt to reach someone who had it before you ever did.  Midland Credit Management is a debt collector that buys and attempts to collect old debts (often very old debts).  They will use the contact information in the paperwork of those old debts to try and reach the debtor, never minding that that contact information may be woefully out of date and they may be calling someone who has no idea who that debtor is.
