Me call looking for credit info

I get calls from this number and no one is there.Why do people do this crap.

Women said she was from Columbia University and was doing a short survey. Told her Thx but not interested and hung up. Came in over a voice protocol but number showed up on redial.

Jesus Christ on the cross in Brooklyn. I'm at work and my very first call of the day has to be this garbage.It's gotten so bad I actually do not come to my own retail store in the morning just to avoid this nonsense. Filthy Christ

Person asked for me. I said I wasn't home. Man hung up! Possibly either a scam or another annying book company demanding money from me!

I've never answered the phone and said that I wasn't home, but I like it. How about telling them that your name is crime, and crime don't pay.

Why would a book company demand money from you?

no message, rang phone twice really fast! when you call back its a recording but doesn't say company name! BLOCK THEM!

called, did not give ID when asked or leave a message = illegitimate call

I picked up the call but didn't speak. I could hear a lot of noise in the background. Sounds like a boiler room operation. I didn't speak and the caller hung up. I don't know what they selling or looking for.
