    I am having financial problems and am under 30 days late on my payments.  I started getting hourly calls from this number around 8am today.  I suspect it is a credit card company, but as I have not answered the calle and they have not left messages, I can not be sure.

    The company policy to call this much without a message is pure harassment.  As this practice is legal, I can't do much but write others in this post and hope that someone will benefit.

    Almost every hour today on my cell phone, starting at 8:01, leaves no message.  I'm not behind on any payments, so it's not a creditor. I picked up on the 6th call - when I did, I heard a phone ring once, as though I was dialing, and then a woman picked up, saying "hello?  helo?"  She sounded as confused as me, then we were disconnected.

    I keep getting phone calls from this number. The phone rings until the answering machine answers, but no message is left. This number will call from 8:00AM until the evening. This has been going on for nearly a month now. This happens every day of the week.

    I got the phone call on Saturday at 8am, 9am and 10am.  It seemed like it was going to happen every hour until I called them back.  I called the phone number.  It is Advanta's collections department.  My interest rate is 24% and I am over my limit.  And that is because they put the interest from the card on the balance which of course puts me over the limit!

    This is an automated dialer from Advanta collections department.  It will ring at seemingly random times throughout the day. When you answer it takes 5 or more seconds for the machine to tell a live person you are collected.  Expect an Indian accent when you are connected. (No slight on Indian call centers!  I am glad they have a job that feeds their families...)

    It's Advanta Bank Credit Card. I called Advanta number (800) 705-7255 from the back of my credit card and they did verify that its them who called me.

    These people call 7 days per week at both my home and business. I answere and no one is there. They call from 8:20 am till 8:20pm I want it stopped.

    Yeah, it's the [***] at Advanta. It won't stop but you can use "Do Not Distrub" during meal time or other times when you don't want to hear the phone ring. Here is where Caller ID comes in handy. I either ignore it or hit the talk then end buttons. Don't bother to listen it is a waste of your time.
    Of course you can call them back and when a live person finally answers, just hang up. A little revenge.

    They call from very morning time until evening. and no message left. Finally i called back, some one said I need pay some credit card years ago, which was from my former former .....employer, he put me as a authorized purchaser on the business credit card when I work for that company. I told them just send bill to the business owner, do not call me again. horrible

    I have this same problem!!  It's Advanta, and even though I told them they have the wrong number, they refuse to take the my number off of their calling database.  I have spoke to numerous representatives, Lauren, George, Mercedes, and Troy.  They tell me that it will take up to 24 hours to have the number removed but they keep calling back!  This is so frustrating.

    This companys collection department is the most unscrupulous company I have ever dealt with. First I can relate to what everyone has said.  I to am not even 30 days past due and the harrass you every hour on the hour. Then in addition last june 08 they decided to raise my APR from 8.9% to 33%. I had a perfect record with them and a credit score will into the 700s.  This is just plain unethical.  In addition if you are a week behind do not make an agreement with them.  They do not keep their word and just take your money.  Many other better ways to deal with companies like this.  Attornery Generals office, Class action legal suit etc.  If interested reply to this listing.

    you are luck with 33%. after faithfully paying they took mine to 37%. I believe a class action suite has been filed. I am trying to find information. If anyone has any information, please share.

    those jerks called me looking for someone that used my phone over a year ago to make a phone call to them and now they have my cell phone number stored and they keep calling looking for her. ive told them to stop calling me.... i am taking this to the bureau of business affairs...this has became an abuse and now they are calling me again while i type this ....grrrrr >:(

    I have been getting repeated call from this number at different times of day for several days.  I finally called back.  It is a collection agency looking for the previous subscriber to my phone number.  I talked with them on 7/22 and 7/23 giving them the same information that the number is not connected with the person they are trying to reach.  Both times they said they would remove the number from the system.  Today I received another call and reiterated my message.  What are my options for recourse?
