    Keep calling even after I informed them that they have the wrong phone number and that I don't know the person they are looking for.  It's got to the point that I just don't answer my phone.  I don't want to change my number again because someone doesn't pay their bills.

    800-365-2027 calls my cellular phone, which is on the do not call list, and I don't give my number out, only to family.  Got the automated recording, saying please hold for next operator.  I hung up!  What's up with this?

    These crazy HSBC people are starting to get on my last nerve.  They call about five times a day and I am not going to answer.  I got someone else to answer once and she got an automative voice telling her to hang on a moment please..she did...they asked for me, and she told them I was not there.  They hung up without a word.  Forget them!

    They or there machine calls about 5 times a day and never leaves a message. It has have called about 15 times in the last 3-4 days.

    I thought they were not permitted to call more than 3 times a week under the fair credit reporting act, i will get my phone records and report them.

    I am late on my Best Buy card payments which is through these clowns.  DO NOT set up a payment over the phone with them if u have a best buy card.  They will skrew it up since the guy on the other end does not speak English.  I made this mistake last week and now they have charged me $40 in extra fees for a returned check, even though there was plenty of money in my account to pay for the bill.  I set up the next payment online but they still call 8-10 times a day, just press ignore.  Also, they use 800-959-1373

    the calls keep coming and coming, all day starting at 8:00 to 10:00. I answer they hang up.  What is wrong with these people. I do not have a Best Buy card, nor do I shop at Best Buy because they are too expensive. How can I get them to stop calling?  I also get the other phone number 800-959-1373. How can I make this madness go away?

    Same deal as above, HSBC is a real black hole in the area of creditors.  So I just block my cell phone from incoming calls that are not in my address book.  No charges to my cell phone and they can just keep listening to my voice mail and not leaving a message.  I make my payments on time and if not their is no need to have their automated call system keep attempting, hope it blows up one day and takes out their entire system.

    If you have written proof that they have received your Cease Communications letter, you can now report them to the FTC for violation of Section 805 of the FDCPA:

    (c) CEASING COMMUNICATION.  If a consumer notifies a debt collector in writing that the consumer refuses to pay a debt or that the consumer wishes the debt collector to cease further communication with the consumer, the debt collector shall not communicate further with the consumer with respect to such debt, except --

    (1) to advise the consumer that the debt collector's further efforts are being terminated;

    (2) to notify the consumer that the debt collector or creditor may invoke specified remedies which are ordinarily invoked by such debt collector or creditor; or

    (3) where applicable, to notify the consumer that the debt collector or creditor intends to invoke a specified remedy.

    If such notice from the consumer is made by mail, notification shall be complete upon receipt.

    If you sent a certified letter and now have the green card proof but they are still caling you have a FDCPA violation. Congratulations they now owe you at least $1000 plus all your atty fees and costs. Assuming you have good phone records for multiple calls plus the green card your case is ironclad. Go to naca.net and find a lawyer in your area who does FDCPA litigation. They will take your case for no or little cost (which you get back if you win) and they are good and will tell you if you have a problem with your case. Also file the compliant with the FTC and your state AG office who may also go after them for additional fines. GET EM!!
