the number is registered with the newspaper "Des Moines Register"

I got a call today, I answered and all i heard was a soft "hello" and nothing else, so I hung up.
It also says Des Moines Register on the caller ID for me.

They call me every day at lunch

Call once a day and hang up , very disruptive and annoying

Over 17 calls from this number this month alone... I don't answer the phone any more I let my machine get them all.

I got a call on Sunday at 6:30PM on my cell phone.  I told them it was a cell phone they called, but they just went ahead with their pitch.  Isn't that illegal to cold call on Sundays?

I've received MANY calls from this number, typically once a day in the morning. Sometimes I am able to answer and other times I am not. They never leave a voicemail. One time I was able to answer and speak with someone and they asked me if I was interested in receiving the Des Moines Register. I told them no and to stop calling. I still receive calls. The next time I was able to answer I told them to quit calling, I was not interested and that I received the calls all the time and it was annoying. I told him it was borderline harrassment. Geez, I'm not interested in the paper, get a hint. I don't know how they got my cell phone number because I don't give it out and I've never subscribed to the Des Moines Register! I'm considering contacting someone at the Des Moines Register and voicing my frustrations at this point.

Have had several calls from this number. Wife is quite ill and these calls are very disrupting. Please remove my name and number from your calling list.

I get several call (attempts) every day. It's time to persue legal action against these [***]!

I receive a call for this number at least twice per day.  I don't answer and they never leave a voicemail.  This has been going on for months.  I canceled the Des Moines Register almost one year ago and hadn't planned to resubscribe.  Now I'm sure that I won't.

They call me like 3 times a day, I've told them I'm not interested and I cancelled my subscription along time ago too!

This number calls multiple times a day and never leaves a message!  It has been going on for a couple of months now. I have answered before and told them I'm not interested, I subscribed a long time ago and cancelled it!  I wish they would leave me alone!

Called me at my business, to look for newspaper carriers, I don't know about me but maybe they should put a want ad in their newspaper. On the flip side, I did find a contact number to their main switchboard it is 1-800-532-1455 in Iowa. The operator answered and they put me thru to their Telemarketing Dept. an answering machine, I left my first name and telephone number to call me back, still waiting.....P.S. they left no way to remove me from their calling list.

This number has called twice today and calls quite often, I wonder if this is legal when you are on the Do Not Call Registry and I have only had the number 4 months and registered it right away??

I just got a new number on Saturday. This number has called every day since. I don't answer. At least now I know who is calling. Next step is "Do Not Call" registry.

They call me about every other day, I used to have the paper with them. They delivered one paper in three months, so I cancelled. They probably want me back, not going to happen

This number has been calling us for 2 mo.s sometime twice a day.  They leave no message.  It is listed to DES Moines Register in Ia but they don't claim it.
