Recorded message:  "Hello, this is Guild Mortgage Company, please press 2 to be connected with the next available agent."  If a company is going to call, why on earth should anyone have to hold for them!!  This is a business number they've called anyway; I'm certainly not going to press 2 and hassle with having to tell them to stop calling what ever employee they're trying to reach.

I'm the Operator above and I did finally press 2 to wait for someone.  I waited a full 5 minutes for someone to come on the line.  When she did, and asked for someone who doesn't work her, I politely told her that she had the wrong number, repeated the number to her and told her to please remove the number from her list.  She was polite in return.  Let's hope I don't get called again.

I can one up you all.  They came to my DOOR and hung a flyer on the door handle and sprinted back to their vehicle.  All that was on the flyer was that phone number 800-365-4884.We have a mortgage thru these guys, we have never been late with our payments and they continue to send notices of Forclosier and charging us late fees and call around the clock.  Then they come to my house and hang the number, the whole while they are getting their payments on time...GUILD MORTGAGE COMPANY....I think they need to hear from my lawyer... hope this helps someone

Called today for a former employee. We have gotten calls from various agencies before.Yes I did have to wait, and the only reason I did was so that I could tell them where this guy is working now and to call that company. I wish he would pay his bills. Lady was very polite.

What makes you think this "guy" doesn't pay his bills?  Simply because a debt collector says so?  That certainly does not rise anywhere close to what the law says they have to do to prove the debt.  Heck, I could start calling people and asking for you saying that you owe money, which is a tactic often used by criminals to shame and embarrass the intended extortion victim into paying.

I just received this notice & I called after validating that the number did in fact belong to GUILD!!! They just wanted to make sure the property is occupied... I was then told by a Guild Rep to ignore it, they were making sure it wasn’t vacant...

I have gotten calls several times from this number but hang up immediately when they ask me to be placed on hold. Who calls someone and then puts them on hold? That's insanity. Now they're leaving notes on my door about "important urgent call your mortgage company." The problem is, they are not my mortgage company.
