Claiming to be verizon wireless. It is a scam . The text tells you that you can upgrade free to a galaxy s21 128 with a trade in. They are not verizon wireless. I work for verizon.

Message claimed I could get the S21 5G for $5 / 24 months. Logged into my Verizon account and the cost is $39.99 / 30 months. Always use secure log in.

We actually called and they were in the process of getting us a free phone when I googled that phone number I saw that it was a scam so we hung up.. we asked them if they were Verizon and not an affiliate and they said yes we are Verizon..

Link take me to My Verizon which says $36.11/mo for 36 months. So this must be a scam if you call the number.

I just got this text yesterday. Thanks for the heads up! I had a feeling it was a scam. The website address looked funny, too.

Received a Text Message (appeared to be from Verizon): You qualify for a free upgrade to Samsung S25 if you trade in your current Apple, Samsung or Google phone, regardless of condition. You will retain your current plan. Tap the link "m.vzw.com/GS25800" or call 800/366-4365 for details.
I tapped the website link, but nothing happened, but my phone locked up with no response at all via screen touch. I had not entered any info at all. I was able to use the power button to Restart my phone. It took a long time to Restart, but seems okay(?). I will have to run some diagnostics.
