Debt collector

i got a call too but they would tell anything what it was about.

I have a cell-phone and I do not answer unknown numbers.  Someone called today and did not leave a message.  My phone number is registered on the national Do Not Call List and I reported this call to them.

This number calls every day, sometimes multiple times a day.  Is it safe to call the number they give to call back?  This is harassment since we are not who they are looking for.

These people are third party collecting.  This is NOT acceptable. they are using many numbers in order to reach you. I am going to sue.

I get repeated calls for Raphael.  No one here by that name.  I tell the caller this is the wrong number, and to put this number on your "do not call" list.  But I still continue to get harrassing phone calls.

Send them a letter VIA certified mail with return receipt requested that the person they are after does not reside at your number and you will take legal action against them for harassing a non-debtor if the calls do not stop.

Just received a call from them, from a woman with a very thick India accent. They asked for my son, said it was in regards to an AT&T bill. My son doesn't owe anything to AT&T, and told her as such. She then tried  to tell me that we don't always know everything about our children. Well, he has been living with us for over three years now, so ya, I think I would know if he owed money to AT&T.

This number has been calling several times a day and leaving messages for someone who has my last name but is not me and is not related to me in any way. I have no idea who they are really looking for and I picked up today to tell them this and the representative hung up on me. I have tried calling back yet every time the circuits are busy. This is thuggish behavior that they have no legal recourse to be harassing me with as I am not the person they are looking for nor is that person in any way associated with me other than having the same common last name.

It is, in fact, a debt colector. However, they use "robo" call techniques to get you to answer. Once I got a live person (in my attempt to discover their true identity), they asked for a female with the same last name as my stepchildren. Turns out she is their father's second wife, who lives on the east coast with the kids' dad. I told the caller that answered, "You are not even remotely close to finding this person in this state or at this number." Caller was polite and promised to end such calls to my number. We'll see.

This number has been calling my house non-stop asking for my brother who lives in a different state. I told them to remove my number from there list yet they still call. I have no idea how they got my cell phone number but they call me ALL DAY LONG.
