This is a bill collection agency. They called me trying to reach a distant family member. They were very nice about removing my number from their listing.

Same as Sue above, they called looking for a brother who lives across the country. I stated this was not his house and they replied  'we will remove this number". Definitely a bill collection attempt!

They called wanting a family member. I wouldn't give them info. Asked who they were. They said they were "ELS", calling about a personal matter. I asked to be removed from their call list nd they said they would.

Called my number that was just assigned to me . Asking for a person that has never lived here . Told them I would be reporting to FCC and FTC . They hung up

She said she was callin from some EL whatever, could not catch the whole name, and said I owe money from ATT but I told them I already paid a settlement with them.  She said there is no record and that I will have to pay in order to close the account.  I said I will look for my payment info and will fax it to her.  She said wait to see what I can do for you.  ????.  Then a guy came on, he said he was the Manager, yeah!.  He said they could not close the account because they need a payment.  I said I have already paid a settlement and to give me the name of his company and his phone number and I will call him back when I find the payment info.  He hanged up on me.  FUNNY bologna!

They called looking for someone who used to live here.  Wouldn't give any details. I assume its a collection company.

They called looking for my ex-sister in law. She has been my ex sister in law for more than ten years, so how the association with my number came up is beyond me. My ex-sister in law is a useless gold digging sow. Shes a bum, too.

Anyhow. I asked to be removed from the calling list after telling the Indian caller that my sister in law is a bum and a useless gold digging beast from hell and that they were wasting their time calling here. He was polite enough compared to some.

1-800-390-6761 - No sound - called listening for an answer. Seemed like an automated Phone Phishing to find out an active number. Unwanted for sure when completely unidentified.

called my cell phone - rejected the call, they left no message. I don't owe anybody anything so don't know why they would be calling me.

Called my cell number. Bad english and very hard to understand but definitely were not asking for me. Told them they had a wrong number and hung up. Think they were still talking when I hung up so don't know what they said after that or what they wanted.

This number called me. I listened and said nothing. I hear typing in the background, and someone breathing heavy in the phone. They hung up, and then I tried calling back. It said that they are closed because it is not business hours. They called during hours they are not in business?

This is phoney!

Just called me.  They were looking for the woman who had this number before I got it . . . . ten and a half years ago!!  Gentleman said he'd delete the number.

Collection agency... only they're looking for my brother's wife (of whom I have not spoken to in over 4-1/2 years). They have called multiple times. Each time we have asked them to remove our number from their list. Each time, they still call back.

This last time, my wife answered. She pretty much called them anything in the book. When it's multiple times she's been bothered, all bets are off.

Incidentally, EOS CCA (the alleged company) has also called about my wife's first husband's CURRENT wife. Need a scorecard? They sure the heck do. And a clue, too.

We have been getting calls and letters from At&T saying we owe money to them. Not!!!! used At&T 20 something years ago. We always paid our bills. They are full of crap these scam artists.I don't answer these phone calls ever ! This is the number calling us. I'm ignoring their letters also of threats of putting us in collection. They will not get one dime from us. No contract No account number just saying we owe  $450.00. Ignored them and then they wrote another letter saying they will make a settlement for $205.00 by March something.Really????? wripped it up! Now they are calling. Cold day in hell if you think I would answer to these crazeee phone numbers!!!!! Hope you don't freeze to death on my account!!!!!!!! Number calling us 800-390-6761.Don't answer calls that don't identify themselves.I google every phone number that comes in and add it to the 200 something soliciting calls I get every 2 months. By the way I add my number every 2-3 times a month to the no call.As you can see it doesn't do any good.

This number has called my home several times in the past month. Finally yesterday my wife was able to answer when they called. They asked for me and when the wife explained I was not home the caller asked for the last four of my social. The wife told the caller his question was illegal and asked why he was calling. He mumbled something and hung up.

You are associated with her by your credit report.  Because of you being married to her sister (I'm assuming you're a guy, if not sorry!), they scour her credit report looking for anyone who might have been associated with the person and contact them.  

And while the Do-Not-Call list has cut down on a lot of telemarketing calls, it is very rarely enforced because not enough people report the creditors.  And if they don't get enough reports, the fine is not large enough to make it worth enforcing!
