- HFSSomeone from this number called my personal cell phone and asked for someone (who happens to work at my company). I did not tell them I knew the person they named - just told them no one here by that name and that they had called my personal cell number. They did not seem to care they were calling my cell phone - identified themself as Flagstar and I said - well what is this regarding. "We cannot divulge this information to you." Well, then, I told them - don't call me!
- CindyGot a call on a Saturday Morning from Flagstar, who does hold our mortgage. They left a message... "important matter... not a sales call..." so I called back. The message said to call back on Monday! Why would they call me on a Saturday if they weren't there to take the return call.
- Caller: Flagstar Mortgage
- ?| 1 replyI got a call at work from this company (somthing)star...i'm guessing this Flagstar company. They wanted to speak to me about a mortgage. I don't even have $20 dollars to my name, let alone a mortgage. How in the world would they get my info? Sounds weird and I don't like it.
- NuriI received a call from this number, the company name is Flagstar Mortgage and Loan Company. The caller said it was a business matter and not a sales call. Now they called on a Sunday morning @10:25! I don's own a home nor have I ever heard of the company, much less taken out a loan or mortgage. Sounds like a scam to me or someone is using my name & number for whatever purpose. Needless to say, I am very angry at this!!
- Caller: Flagstar Mortgage & Loan Co.
- MPLThese people keep calling me.... they've called 7 times in a row each day this week.... I don't want to pick up cause I know it's another ad/telemarketer.
- Caller: Flagstar
- MacThis is one of the most annoying phone call systems in the entire network. I do not have any business with this company, have never done any business with them and am unable to get them to stop calling.
- Sy Hussaini replies to Sandy| 1 replyI got two calls from the number 800-393-4887. The message said it was regarding my mortgage. I called back and tried to speak with an operator since I dont have a mortgage with them to begin with. No response when you dial "0". It simply asks for a loan number and then it will probably ask for other details such as social security number. This is a scam. Avoid it, and if you are in the know , you probably have googled the number , if not you are being set up.
- Terry| 1 replyI have received 3 calls from this # with same message. I just recently opened mortgage with Flagstar so thought maybe it was legit. I haven't called yet, but I think I will do what someone else posted and call # I already have.
- N replies to TerryI have been recieving calls from them every day for about a week - always between 8:10pm - 8:20pm. Have never heard of Flagstar, and I certainly don't have an account with them. The call back number left in the message (800-393-4887) is listed on their website as the number for 'Financial Hardship'.
- miguel trianaI just got a call from 1-800-393-4887 saying it was from Flagstar and that it as very important that I call back, I decided to ignore it, sounds like a scam.

- acdLeft me two msgs...again. We do have loans with them (Flagstar). Last time I called their service for a different matter and mentioned about getting calls from this 800 number calls, they said it was from a different dept. Since I have no pending issues with them, I basically just ignore these calls. It is annoying, though...
- cc10We have a mortgage with Flagstar (it was sold to them). I pay every month before the 16th when the late fee starts. They call twice a day starting on the 2nd letting us know our payment is late. Very harassing. Today I gave them a fake # to call. We'll see how long that lasts.
- Caller: Flagstar Bank
- meI just received a similar call today, May 8 2012. It went to voice mail and they said it was not a sales call. I then called Flagstar Bank and they said it was a legit number, from the collections or loan management department. The agent already knew the number I got the call from. So, he transferred me to that department. They said it was a courtesy call regarding my new loan. They wanted to verify how I plan to make my payments: through their web-site, my bank's bill pay, or mail it in directly. (They did ask for my SSN to verify the loan, which I didn't want to provide. The agent then asked for my loan number, which I didn't remember. Finally, he was able to work with the phone number on which I had received the call.)
Technically, the payment is due on the 1st of the month. I guess if they don't receive the payment by the first 5-6 days, they want to call and make sure you have the right payment information etc. I think it is good, as it would save late fees to the new folks starting-out with their mortgage, and also help them weed-out bad loans early in the game.- Caller: FlagStar Bank

- RudyI got the same call today and I did get a confirmation from Flagstar Bank that it was an automated message to inform me of a late monthly payment. I was going through refinancing process with them, so I stopped the monthly payments. I guess the information didn't get to their system fast enough.

- ZimmyThat number is flagstar banks delinquint account number.
- Banker Joe replies to Flagstar CustomerLegitimate? Flagstar is known nationwide by industry insiders as FRAUDSTAR Bank. They've paid millions in penalties for fraudulent mortgage practices.
- MadHenIt gets even scarier! I came home to an envelope taped to my front door with a handwritten note that it was personal correspondence with me. The message inside was a tiny slip of paper with "If your Mortgage loan is an FHA-insured loan and you are living in the property, please call Flagstar at (800) 393-4887 to schedule an interview to discuss the options you may have"!!!!!! Didn't even identify the sneaky little buggar that left it on my door!!! BTW, I pay my bill every month!!!
