- Amber| 1 replySays they are a legal service, paid the $1.90 the never sent me the email with the information. I have been told to call customer service at both 1-800-898-0119 and 1-800-395-5591. Their system calls me and they say that they have no information on me. Two of the robo calls came from northern California and the third from somewhere in Missouri.
- Caller: Choice Legal Service
- Call type: Scam suspicion
- BigA replies to AmberYou paid $1.90 for legal service? I guess you get what you pay for!
- NimrodI cannot find a search return that connects either of the numbers listed by "Amber" to a "Choice Legal Service" or "Choice Legal Services".
Google search for the 800-898-0119 number shows up as a Toll Free number for "Diamond Trucking" of Phoenix, AZ.
Google search for 800-395-5591 (excluding this site and the usual useless lookup sites) turns up the "Terms of Use" page on "Call-The-Lawyers.com" (domain registered 3 years ago).
At the top of their main page they show:
The form on the page that shows "Need Legal Help? Start Here!" does not work, and the disclaimer at the bottom of each page reads:Quote:Get The Legal Help You Deserve
Call The Lawyers will connect you with a local attorney for any legal issue.

At the end of the Terms of Use page under "Listed below is contact information for Third Party Service Providers that offer legal subscription plans." are four entries. A couple entries listed ("My Legal Services Connection" and "USA Legal") both list this number and support@mylegalconnection.com (domain registered 6 years ago) for contact. Looked at the My Legal Services Connection site and it looks like a standard lawyer referral site (did not bother looking at the other). The third entry is for "LegalShield" (which offers pre-paid legal plans on a subscription basis) and just gives a link to their "Here’s how to cancel your LegalShield membership " page. (Their domain has been registered for 23 years.) The last entry is for JustAnswer (domain registered 20 years ago) with simply a link to their "How can I cancel my membership?" page. They claim to get the user answers from "professionals" in a number of fields on either a pay-per-question or a monthly subscription basis.
If "Amber" accessed any of those sites, she may have signed up for a monthly subscription and may need to cancel it. In any case, since they did not provide an answer, she should dispute the charge with her bank or credit card company. - Online user| 1 replyhttps://www.call-the-lawyers.com is a scam. They appear to be a law firm but in reality they redirect you to pay a fee in order to be connected to a lawyer.
- MikeHuntleton replies to Online userThey seem to be acting as the 'middleman' to allow affiliates in their 'network' to contact people to get suckered into some subscription plan. You find this at the bottom of the Terms-of-Use page:Quote:22. Managing Third Party Relationships. Call-The-Lawyers.com does not participate in the management of any relationships that Site Users form with Third Party Service Providers. It is the responsibility of the Site User to record and use direct contact information of Third Party Service Providers for future correspondence and account management with any Third Party Service Provider they choose to do business with, including but not limited to canceling of accounts and customer support.
