- ShellI pulled up your accouhnt and you are spending $90 more than you should on your AT&T account. Please call me back. My name is Robert [***].
When I called the number, a lady answers as AT&T. - noname| 2 repliesCaller masking as ATT, called said it was urgent to talk to me today, some girl last name Wilcox - called back and got vm - totally a scam. Caller ID # from South Dakota 605#, asking to call back 800 395 8334
- Caller: says ATT
- the dude| 2 repliesthey called from this number and left me a message that they were from At&t, they were looking at my AT&t business account and that they needed me to call back right away. I called back and was put into some voice mail. I gave them the name and phone number of my local chief of police.
- OfficeLeft a message stating they were ATT to me as well.
Was put on hold by some person (while hearing him fumble the phone in the background). Had a feeling there was something fake about it.
Total SCAM.- Call type: Telemarketer
- AT&T customer| 1 replyI was called. Caller identified herself as "Brittany". She said she was calling on behalf of AT&T. She asked me let her help save money on my business phone bill. She knew the amount I paid per month. I refused and asked for her number so that I could call back. She finally admitted that she worked for Edge Teleservices. She claimed that the company she worked for was hired by AT&T to solicit AT&T customers. Sounded fishy to me. I found nothing on the AT&T site to substantiate her claim.
- Caller: Edge Teleservices
- Call type: Telemarketer
- Chris| 1 replyCaller left a voice mail before our office hours. His name was Sean Granado and said he was from "your local telephone company AT&T" and said he needed to speak with us "today".
When I called back it went to voice mail and it said to leave my name and number along with the person who initially called me and that they would get back to me in 24 hours. You mean to tell me AT&T reps don't have their own extensions and individual voice mail boxes? Yeah, I'm not believing it either.- Caller: AT&T California (or claiming to be AT&T)
- At the OfficeJust got a call from Calvin Ramsey, he needed an OK from me to change a 5 digit code on our company account, that was completely internal and we would not see any change in the bill or anything, Right.
Telemarketer trying to slam me.- Caller: Fake AT&T
- Call type: Telemarketer
- BillheadI got a call from "Brian Boland", said they were doing an annual review of our account.
It didn't sound like a scam to me, he new how many lines we have, what local and long distance plan we are on, and when the contract ends.
He didn't even ask for any info or suggest any changes, he just left his number and said if I ever need any changes done to call him. - another AT&T customerI just experienced the same scenario as many others here. The caller identified herself as "Becky” and she was calling on behalf of AT&T. I asked her what company she was with and she admitted she was with “Edge.” That they are hired by AT&T to review customers accounts. She suggested I switch my business account to another program to save an additional 1% per month on local calls, at a higher monthly service fee. She knew the services I have and amount I pay per month. She knew that I didn’t have internet service through AT&T and asked what service provider I have. I told her I have fine service, and left it at that. She gave me her phone number to call back when I decide to make upgrade my service. I hope she isn’t waiting.

- a4pScammer called company and said needs to update account info. Employee took message to call Shannon Peters at 1-800-395-8334.
I didnt bother...
They have called before. About every 2 months. - ccCalled today. Dawn Rosenberg wanted to know if how our AT&T services were going. I smelled scam.
- Call type: Telemarketer
- RickTelemarketer left a message saying she was with AT&T and had reviewed our business account...call right away for a better deal. She said her name was Becky Minders and to call 800-395-8334. I checked with AT&T first. They said they note it in the account anytime they call a customer - even if they just leave a message. They haven't called us since January, and it's now July 15th. Must be some sort of SCAM.

- Employee of Edge or the Infamous 800#| 10 repliesHere's the thing everybody...Yes we are telemarketers...no we dont try to scam you...we don't take your carriers from AT&T.....Here's what we do we upgrade, renew, or sell services that you need at a lower or discounted price...not changing your billing with AT&T or trying to "scam" you!!! Really if you were a smart consumer(s)you would come through us-v.s.-the main bus. office unless it's a customer service issue or a technical support issue. Honestly were very helpful and the plus +....we're cheaper for the same services. Oh and by the way if you were one of those people who were the one's who qualified for the $10's off thing...it's because your in a special area in california(san fransisco, san diego, or sacromento areas)---"TURBO CITY AREAS"---(because of higher taxes)---So if your still wondering about the whole thing, "we really still are an affiliate of AT&T," just go to***(att.com/telemarketing)(were EDGE TELESERVICES)***common people!!! What short bus riding [***] wouldn't want to save money for the same services that they have or would get from the main bus. office>>>(not for discounted prices...)??????*******************************Sincerly, *******************************Employee of Edge or the Infamous 800#

- A "Short-Bus Riding [***]" replies to Employee of Edge or the Infamous 800#| 8 repliesWow, what a lovely person. I've been called by these jokers multiple times. They always say they're from AT&T and sound very professional until I ask to call them back through the official AT&T customer service number, then they suddenly get belligerent and bizarrely inarticulate (see above). The woman who called today actually kept her cool and gave me what turned out to be a bogus AT&T employee ID number. Listen folks, never give out any personal information on the phone, and ALWAYS call AT&T directly to verify before you agree to anything. And here's a newsflash "Employee of Edge" -- if you're sales procedures involve evasion and misrepresentation, you are a SCAMMER. Congrats. Now get a life.
- theGman| 1 replyI too am being harassed by them saying they are AT&T - weekly. I asked to be taken off their list and was grilled by a Jennifer Ross 605-232-6573.
Thanks AT&T for selling our names to affiliates like this. I am staying with Comcast forever now. - Edge Teleservices employee replies to A "Short-Bus Riding [***]"| 4 repliesI would just like everyone to know what is really going on... I work at Edge and have possibly called some of you. We do work on behalf of att.att does hire edge to both make AND recieve calls for them. We only work with small business in california. If you are called by us, all we should be doing is letting you know ways u can save on your bill ( and there usually is ways) and of corse we r suppost to let you know of new products att offers that you do not have. We DO NOT switch you away from att or change the way things work for your business service. If someone calls you and you believe they are not representing the truth to you then please call the 800# and ask for a supervisor and it will be delt with. We have a lot of guidelines we must follow and when our supervisors/managers find out that some people r dishonest it is taken care of... they loose their job. So, please, dont think we r all just trying to slam u. we r not :)
- Eric replies to nonameIts not a scam
- California Small Business replies to Edge Teleservices employee| 1 replyThey also call when you move your account away from AT&T. Guess what? I left AT&T for a reason. The calls are certainly not getting me to come back. I feel validated in my choice to leave.
- peopel who care for small business replies to California Small Businesswell the reason we call you to get you to come back to ATT is because we can offer you better deals and you wont get locked in to a 3 year contract with those others then have a huge etf when you decided to move to a different carrier if you actually listen to what we have to say then you wont have to worry about all the scamms if you want to make sure EDGE is not lieing go to www.att.com/telemarketing an we are the number on vendor for ATT......think people we will give you a chance to talk an we do listen we are just doing our job that ATT wants us to do
