Hang Up... I blocked.

Called twice today, no response after I answered. I have since found out how to block phone numbers

Called my home phone, not answered, no message left, just a buzz.  Suspect spoofed or scam number.

Called again today.

Just background buzzing on message

Out of curiosity, I called the number back. The message (no business name was mentioned) stated that it is a market research survey and is not restricted by the Do-Not-Call list (which is basically useless in it's own right.) However, the number the recording gave was 800-251-5850. I'm not sure why the calling number is different from the recorded number. Anyway, I blocked the number that called. I'm sure they'll find a way to get around it. Good health and good luck to everyone!

You do know that the DNC list is just a list, right? And that it doesn't apply to surveys so the recording was correct?

This operation calls 2 to 5 times per week. We don't answer, but it always leaves a message which sounds like an idling diesel truck.

Got a call from this number and blocked it. Came up on Caller ID as follows:

800-401-2924

I believe you are incorrect in one fact.  Yes, Do Not Call it is just a list, but reputable companies check that list.  However, only charities and POLITICIAL CALLS may disregard legally.  And, of course, scammers.

And, as stated, surveys. Don't believe me? Look it up.

Verizon shows as Potential Spam so the # is not visible until the caller hangs up.   no message was left.
