I finally blocked this number, after several calls to my landline with no message. After reading the posts on this site, I see I did the right thing. I'm with the person who wrote that their phone service is for THEIR convenience and NOT those trying to call. I never answer my phone if I don't know who it is.

I used to get calls from this number when I had answering machine.  I turned off answering machine but before that I found out they were a collection agency.  I had no debts and still don't so I just don't answer any calls I don't recognize.  I hardly ever get calls anymore because I don't answer them.  fortunately for us we have a distinct ring for family members that I do answer.  That number has been dialed a couple of times so I make sure I look at caller ID before answering.
