- SpudThe phone rang six times (surprisingly) before they gave up. I don't answer unrecognized numbers and I have my answering machine turned off. From the previous comments, this appears to be just another scam coming in from out-of-country, possibly India. Also, Microsoft doesn't call around to tell people that Microsoft "services" are being stopped, and if the U.S. Government has a problem with you, they'll send you official notice through the U.S. Postal Service.
