Was calling direct tv today and I guess this company intercepted the call. They answered and told me they were with Direct TV asked for my  phone number and address and then proceeded to tell me that they were sending me a free Visa giftcard in the mail and that they had a great deal for me with ADT, weird thing is I had just gotten off the phone with ADT...I dont know asked them not delete my info...not sure if they actually did or not.

Yep same thing happened to me. I called 1888 instead of the correct 1800 333 DISH.  I thought it was Dish Network, gave name and home address. Caller answered Dish. So I thought it was legit. I asked about technical issues and he tred to sell me Direct TV. I begged for him to delete my information numerous times he said on I will. He then tried to sell me ADT home security. I said just delete my info I want nothing to do with his scam. We hung up. Not less than 30 minutes later, after calling the real dish and filling a complaint, I get a call purported to be Protect Your Home Security. I explained that telemarketing is illegal. She said she was trying to sell me home security. I said that's telemarketing. She hung up. They are affiliated. File at sate complaint with State Attorney General and Do Not CAll List.

Thought I was calling DISH network to report a problem with my receiver. The whole time I thought I was talking with a DISH rep, but a few days later I received a whole new Direct TV system.  After several phones call I finally got it straightened out but what a mess! Never give out your information to anyone! And how are these companies interceding these calls.  Be careful!

They are not affiliated with Direct either.  A total scam.  They try to sell you a protection plan to replace what you have with directive.  I called the direct number and ended up with them.  Think they hack into Dish and Direct #'s to sell you a fraudulent plan.  I reported to Direct and to my cc company.  They kept telling me I misdialed and I knew I hadn't so thought they were affiliated with Direct.  Was I ever wrong!

This number is for a 3rd party company that services DirecTV systems in some areas. The 3 year protection plan for $99 will get you protection through this 3rd party but it is not going to tied into your DirecTV account.  This company has to be contacted when there is an issue and they will send out their employees to service the system.  Since DirecTV can't be sure that they will actually service your account we would recommend going with DirecTV's protection plan.

So you claim to be Direct TV support?  Why are you looking up telephone numbers to begin with?  What is the name of this so called legitimate company and what is their real address?

I work for this company. It's name is The Solutions Center and is based in Cleveland, OH. We are a dealer for DIRECTV, (just like how your local car dealership is a dealer for Ford), several other vendors, and we also offer our own protection plan for Dish or DIRECTV customers. We have contracts in place with DIRECTV and other vendors to sell their service in exchange for a commission.

We have registered over 1000 phone numbers that are similar to Dish and DIRECTV's, and so when customers misdial the numbers, they reach us instead. We then proceed to identify who we are and convince the customer to switch service to DIRECTV (in case of a Dish customer) and then to buy a protection plan for their new equipment, or sell them an alarm system or phone and internet if they are DIRECTV customers.

DIRECTV actively listens to our calls to make sure we are in compliance with our contract with them, and inspects our location several times a year to make sure our computer systems are secure and PCI compliant. Dish is aware of what we do, and our attorneys, theirs, and DIRECTV's have come to an agreement that there is nothing illegal about our lead generation strategy (registering phone numbers similar to Dish's), as long as we identify ourselves as retailers of DIRECTV to customers that call in.

We have been in business since 2001 and our company employers over 100 people.

I read something above claiming we intercept other companies' calls. Nonsense. Not only is that illegal, it is also impossible from a technological point of view. The moral of the story is to make sure you dial the correct number; many customers will dial 888 instead of 800, for example.

We do delete personal information on request. Personally identifiable information is encrypted in our system , but we do credit checks for DIRECTV and the other vendors using their systems (via the cloud). We do not sell personal information to other companies.

I was scammed with this Co. Claimed they were DirecTv calling offering me a great deal on equipment protection for 3 years @ $89.99. Wanted my CC number. They insisted it would be a separate charge, NOT on my bill. When I received my first Directv bill, the equipment protection plan was still being charged on a monthly rate. Called CS, they know NOTHING about this DEAL! Told me I was scammed and DT does NOT have this DEAL!!

You are correct DIRECTV does not offer this deal. They have their own protection plan that is $7.99 per month. We offer our own plan at a fraction of the cost. This is exactly what the phone agent should have explained on the call. If you need to reach us please call back.

They intercepted my call twice! They were very nasty on the phone and asked for my social security number. They also told me that I dialed the right number and that they were from direct tv and said they were the solution center then when I called them on their crap they said I didn’t dial the right number and they never said that I did. Then they told me the only way they could fix my problem was if I gave them my debit card number. Total scam and fraudulent. I hope people don’t fall prey to these guys.

Solutions Center is nothing but a Fraudulent Scam with hundreds of BBB Complaints for obvious reasons!  They "Pretend" to be DirecTV or another service provider, but never tell you they care NOT!  They try to make you believe they actually are DirectV and that you are getting the exact same plan just at a better rate.  I called back the same number again later to confirm, and listened to their prompts and Direct Tv prompts and they are intentionally the same to be deceiving. Staying you reached Direct TV and do you want Customer Service, technical support, to find promotions in ur area, etc.  Then when I figured it out, I asked them to delete my info, but they never did.  I had have them my credit card in the beginning, but never confirmed the purchase once I figured out the scam.  I asked for a manager who gave me a line of BS, that they would not try and Bill me since they were in business for 17 yrs and didn't want to risk it.  I didn't believe him so immediately cancelled my card when we hung up!  Lucky thing I did too since they kept trying to charge me anyway even tho I specifically did NOT give authorization!!! Nothing but lying scam artists and reported them to the BBB!
