Received the following message on my voice mail.  Caller ID showed as 10000000000

"Hello this is Marianne calling from the underwriting department of card member services. I'm calling on your existing credit card account. Based on your recent payment activity and balance. You may be eligible for an interest rate reduction to as low as 2%. There's additional information I need to confirm your eligibility so please return my call directly in the underwriting department at 1-800-430-0459. Once again 1-800-430-0459. This will be the only notice you received and this offer is only valid for three business days. Thank you."

Received the same message, although caller-id said "Unknown".
I hope it is "the only notice"!  But, I would bet that it won't be.

Same as message Scott received.  Maryanne from card services with 1-800-430-0459 call back #.  Caller ID shows all zeros.

Exact same caller id and message. Vague "your credit card", and only good for 3 days? yeah right...

I also got this same message on my cell phone less than 2 minutes ago.  The lack of details makes it pretty obviously a scam.

Received the same call today. Called ID was all zeroes. I missed the first part of the message, but the rest of the recorded message was exactly the same.

Bump. Ditto. Name: Unknown. Phone number: all zeros. Exactly the same VAGUE message. I didn't bother returning a call either.  I wish I could just reroute robocalls. Sadly, some sweet, elderly person will end up falling for this one and get taken as I'm pretty sure this smells like someone is 'fishing' due to the fact that the message isn't directed to a specific individual and "Maryanne" doesn't give a company name.
I've been told by many friends who've received 'last notices' in the mail for debt consolidation, that these are anything but a last notice because they will get another one a few weeks or months later. At least the mail helps keep the post office in business!

scam call should be disabled

Just got the exact same message.  Friendly enough voice to lure someone right into this scam if people aren't careful.  Hope they aren't collecting too many victims.

I received the same call as noted above. Shameless crooks.

I appreciate so many people posting comments. I was sure it was a scam, but to see so many others recognizing it is a great reinforcement.

Just listened to the voice mail that was left.  Obviously a scam.  Came across on caller ID as out of area.

Received the exact same message, same number on caller ID.  I blocked both numbers.

Ditti.....same 2 percent....same 3 days

Received a message from Mary Ann with Card Member Services stating that if we call back within 3 days, we can apply for a lowered interest rate of 2% and that this is the only notice we'll receive.  Very vague.  Definitely seems like a phishing/scam call.

Same as everyone else. Voice mail about lowering credit card rate. Does not give company name. Total scam we do not have any credit cards got rid of them all.

Same message as all of the others. Caller ID listed it as unavailable. Marianne must be the sister of Rachael from cardholder services;)
