Different people call my home looking for someone I don't know. I told them many times that they are obviously calling the wrong number, yet they continue calling. Must be a collection agency looking to collect an old debt.

Black male keeps calling my parents phone# and they have been told i moved 15 yrs ago. The guy keeps asking 4 my home along with my bank acct, pin and password. The 2nd guy became more irate when they're not getting that they want. I no longer have a home phone, it was disconnected 4 my protection.

Various people keep calling me from this number looking for the person who had the phone number before me.  It tells you to press one, and each time you talk to a live person after a long wait.

Each time I explain that person doesn't live there, had the number before me, and I don't know him.

Today, I pressed one again and was told "someone will be with you shortly"
At minute 22 it disconnected. I called back and told. "Mailbox is completely full"
How can I get these people to stop calling me?

Called for my ex father in law today. Said I was identified as apossible relative. How they got my number I don't know I went back to my maiden name after the divorce moved and got a new number. After reading these replies I sure hope the phone calls don't continue

1-800-430-7124 keeps calling and harassing for some debt I don't even know.  How did such a company get hold of my private cell number?  Why isn't this so called attorney office of turner, cohen, something send notice via mail?  Seems like a scam and should be reported. This is a company operating out of Georgia.

Got a call from them myself, several months ago. They were looking for someone else and I told the woman who called to look that person up in the phone book. I never heard from them again.

Collect America (CACH& CACV) franchisee. They are paid a commission to file suits on bottom feeder debts acquired by parent company Collect America. They are also involved in collecting on arbitration claims filed by the same. As with most bottom feeders, purchased debts usually have a tainted trail behind them and most attorneys have difficulty in obtaining the legal validation documents that meet court requirements. They called my neighbors today!  Then told them to call me and let me know they had called.  I am mortified which I am sure what the intent.  What can I do to get them to stop?

Okay, so this caller was being a complete !@#$%^%$$ to my mom. Two (who seemed to be African American) guys called and started talking about some debt that she owed, and she said that she didn't have the money and told them about the payment plan that she could do. they said no without any thought to it, and remarked that they couldn't do that. They asked if she could find any family members that she could get money from, and being completely truthful she said that she didn't have much family left and that her brother, the only one with the slightest chance of money, had ALS. They were not even considerate, and only got more rude, anxious to convince her to get money from someone or they would take her to court. they sounded, for the most part, professional but EXTREMELY and UTTERLY uncalled for. Seriously, my mom doesn't deserve this. Nobody does.

I was called from this number also my father was regarding me. They said they were Thomas Cohen and Thomas law firm. Dont answer they are awful people who seriously leave rude and threatening messages everyday.

For many, many months we have been receiving calls from an "800 Service" number but it is a different number each time on our caller ID.  They call several times a day and never leave a message.  The calls even start as early as 5 AM!  Today they did leave a message and when I returned the call they wouldn't talk to me, they said the "business" was with my husband.  He called them and they asked if his social security number ended in XXXX and he said no, that they had the wrong guy, which was true.  They tried to get more information out of him but he told them he wasn't going to give them anything and hung up.  Our conversations were with a black female who kept insisting they had legitimate business with my husband.  She said they were an attorney's office and never mentioned anything about debt collection.  But we don't owe anyone a penny so if they call again it will surely be to try to scam us!

Because they seem to have multiple numbers just don't answer ANY call that comes up on caller ID as "800 Service"!

Caller, identified as "Ms. Dailey" called and left a message at one residence asking questions about the called residence's next door neighbor. "Ms. Dailey" stated she was calling on behalf of attorneys: Cohen, Thomas, and Trauner, leaving a call back number of "1-800-430-7124 / Ext. 1529. This has caused considerable concern for the called residence and the next door neighbor in this age of identity theft and scams. I have called the stated "800" number and it just goes to a dead line.

This number has been constantly calling my relatives and friends and after being told over and over again to stop calling that I do not have a phone they continue to call. I will now since I know who they are report them to the FTC and report that they have been harrasing my relatives and friends over something that is not their concern.

Same type of call as the others that are listed trying to scare you into doing something stupid or giving up information. This is ergent matter time is getting close to the court date and so on. Very rude and overbearing.

April 16, 2009: A black sounding male, who identified himself as Markus Griffin, supposedly in the employ of the law firm of Toller, Collins and Thomas, Markus left a very cryptic message on my answer machine, paraphrasing, that I was involved in a police matter they were pursuing and should return the call to 18004307124 ext 1519, ASAP, when I returned this call, as any law abiding person would at 10:AM the following morning,  I got an answer machine, I pressed 0 for an operator and got another voice mail box.   I left a message of when and how I could be reached, when the same sounding person got in touch with me again, he was belligerent and demanding that my number was listed for another individual with a similar sounding name, and he wanted me to prove to him that I was who I said by giving him my address and social.  I REFUSED, saying only that he was misinformed, he became more forceful, they would send the police to my address if I did not comply with the proof he was demanding, so I told him to give me the address and legal case number for the charges pending and I would have my attorney contact him, to which he replied that he did not have to give me his address and became more insistant that I prove to him I was not the party he was calling.  I asked which state he was licensed to practice law in, and he became loud abusive and proceeded to tell me that he was doing the questioning and that I was the hostile party at which point I hung up the phone.  I googled, law firm of Toller, Collins and Thomas, FL, then US and got nothing, I googled Markus Griffin and got several face book people none of which was a person of color, I did a reverse phone look up for 1 800 430 7124 and found this site.  I believe this was a phishing scam.  IF it were an actual law office, I see no reason why they would not have given me an address and a fax number or the state in which they practiced law, they also did not ever tell me what the police matter was about.
