The continue to call and leave the message that my merchant equipment is out of date and I am now liable for any fraud charges. I don't have any merchant equipment. I think they just found my number online and are phishing.

Caller ID = "TOLL FREE CALL." I answered, nobody was there. Blocked.

This 3rd time for me - worthless idiot called at 9:15 at night and left a message about my merchant equipment.  I don't have any merchant equipment.

Called on my business phone and first half of message was missing. Just heard that some equipment was out of date and I would be liable for any resulting malfunction.

Hang up call at 8:40am on a Sunday morning, in violation of "do not call".

This call is a SCAM. Calls from 800-455-0931 are a SCAM

This moron called our business tonight at 1829 hours, well after we were closed.  Caller ID said "Unavailable."  They did not leave a message, but I'm sure they'll call again, because that's what scam artists do.  For the heck of it, I blocked my caller information and called it back.  I got a generic message telling me that their office was currently closed and that their normal business hours are 8 am to 5 pm, Central Standard Time.  If so, how is it their "office" was plaguing my company phone after they had closed.  Considering these anal sphincters have a habit of calling businesses after hours and on weekends, that can't be coincidence.  Makes you wonder how they expect to scam anyone if they don't answer their phone, but I'm sure they have their way.

When calling back toll free numbers, caller ID blocking does not work since the information is also transmitted by ANI because the person you are calling is paying the bill and is entitled to know who is calling them.

Then, here's an idea: Bombard THEM with calls that THEY will have to pay for. With enough calls, maybe we can put them out of business.

same to me, same time, no message get that blocked..  but is there anyway to prosecute this/these guys.

Called a residence - 7:45 pm with 800Service ID. ROBO detection disconnected automatically after 1 ring.

Merchant Services, calling about equipment we don't have. Called business number at 8:41 pm, which is forwarded to a home line after business hours. Call went to voice mail.  Young male voice began typical pitch about card machines. I would think that every small business in the US has received multiple calls from Merchant Services and similar scams by now -- and we all recognize it as a racket. Not only that, but we're not going to do business with anybody who deliberately calls after hours with the intent of leaving a voice message instead of talking with a live person.

Got a call at 10.00 PM. Picked up BUT I didn't speak. No message if the computer doesn't get a sound cue. We'll see if it tries again or gives up on a number no one answers.

This is a bale of hay after the horse is done with it. Robocall advising my merchant account needed "chip validation". and to learn about increased charges and fees, yak yak yak.
