same as above, message that says "I am calling regarding an important personal business matter." I did try the number and got a recording that said I had reached the accounts payable desk and to leave my name and account number and someone would call me back! I have no idea who the people are or what company they might be calling about!

This number has called several times over the past month but I never answer unknown calls. If it says 800 I just ignore it.

Recorded message to our office number said they were calling about our recent hospital visit and to call back as soon as possible. Didn't say who they are or who they were calling to speak to.  Repeated number twice - 1-800-455-7777. Google shows this number for ABS - Accounts Billing Service - medical debt collection service with offices in Lexington, Paducah, and Owensboro, Kentucky and in Clarksville, Tennessee. Sorry for them that their recorded message won't generate a response from a real person on our end.

Automated message that said they were calling about my bill for my recent hospital visit and gave this number twice. Attempted to call the number and got a busy signal.

The company and number appear to be legit.  I called back and got right through to a live person.  They were calling about a hospital bill I had paid over two weeks earlier (well before the due date).  I looked up the check and told her when it had been cashed. The ladies were very polite and said that obviously they just hadn't received the updated information from the bank.  Felt kind of insulted and inconvenienced because I had paid my bill.  But this is what you can get when you pay a third party instead of the provider directly.  This company bills and receives payments for medical providers who don't handle their own billing. I have sent them payments before with no problems. I have handled hundreds of medical insurance claims and bills over 40 years, and doctor's offices and hospitals are the world's worst at screwing them up.  Always pay them by check so you can prove they got your payment!  My check was not cashed in Paducah, where I sent it, but in the city where the hospital is located, so ABS must have sent the check to the hospital.  Go figure.

I had the same call.  First time I tried to call it just rang and rang.  Decided to call again and everything was legit.  But what I find stupid is they had me on the phone when I answered the first time.  Why not just talk to me then.  It is rather unprofessional to me not to at least identify the company.  Basicall they wanted to set up a payment plan.  I told them I pay all my accounts in full.  When she asked when I would make another payment I said when I get another bill.  Come on people.  I would find another billing company if I was the hospital...very unprofessional.

5th time, I called back a rather plausible lady answered, told her I was getting calls to someone not at this number. She apparently had caller id as she looked it up, told me who they were trying to reach. Told her the person was not here and she apologized and said the number would be removed from their call base. Haven't had a call in 2 wks now.

It's all BS. They called about a hospital bill but the thing is I'm 19 and I've never been in the hospital, and have no bill to paid at a hospital.

Legitimate callback from 800-455-7777 to an email I sent to Mars Billing regarding ambulance bills I incurred last year. However, the message that a human left me was for a different toll free phone number. I believe this was for ongoing payments, not debt collection. Have called company a few times before at 844-889-7701. Never had any problems with them.

Had a call from 800-455-7777 recorded message to call the same number about last visit to hospital. I called back put on hold a couple minutes then girl answered put me back on hold another minute. When she came back on said same thing but didn't identify anything wanted social security number wouldn't not give she got upset and said she couldn't tell me anything without out so I told her we couldn't get anywhere she got upset do I hung up.

left a message on the answering machine about an important billing issue.  The thing is, they did not say who they were contacting, so...I'm just suppose to call them back cold...I don't think so!  Besides I don't have any medical bills.

Kept calling me so I called number back, just got recorded message after being on hold.  Told them not to call again since I have no recent medical bills.
