Another unwanted call today from this number

My GOD you people are stupid! This isn't the actual VA calling you! Duh! It's just a bunch of scammers trying to either get something out of you or, for their enjoyment, harass you cuz it's fun for them. Wise up. Nothing's ever going to change until you all get a clue! This is just one of thousands and thousands of these numbers...real or spoofed..that torment the American public every single day of our lives non-stop!  Geez

Brandon is right.  Legitimate charities leave messages and are more polite and usually solicit funds through the mail. These are scammers who want to cheat you. Don't answer the phone if you don't know who it is, and let them leave a message.

daily calls from this number go unanswered at this house because (1) it's a fax tone and (2) callerid indicates name is somebody called "unavailable" .  I don't know anybody with that name so now they're blocked.  

They call almost daily.  Even though the number is blocked, my phone still rings once before hanging up.  Today they called at just before 9am!  I work late and am really sick of this.  I don't have anything to give, and constantly calling won't change that fact.

Yes i get them 1-2 times a day. Still annoying. Nana, yes they are still a nuisance if its even that many times a day, not to mention the 4-5 times a day that others claim. I call when i want to donate. Do not harrass me, chances are i dont have anything to donate if i didnt call them.

caller ID showed "Out of Area"; it was the Vietnam Veterans of America.   Stated they'd have a donation truck in my area, and wanted to know if I had any clothes/household items I wanted to donate.  

And for those that keep posting they're on the "Do Not Call" list.....charities and political calls are exempt from following the DNC list.  

800-459-8387 is the Vietnam Veterans charity. The Do-Not-Call-List does not apply to charities who call for donations, so reporting them is not an option. I donated a couple boxes of stuff once and now they call me every other week. Aggravating.

I want them to stop calling me i have told them serveral times to take me off the list and they dont this is becoming harrassing

it does appear to be VA pickup like others have said. I called the number back and after the phone tree a guy answered, i asked to be removed from the call list. He said he would remove my number from their list....we'll see. I did say i would donate a longtime ago when i first started getting these calls, put out 2 BIG boxes of clothes on the porch and they sat out there about 5 days AFTER the pickup date. won't waste my time/energy gathering anything up again. i know i may sound a little harsh about this but i have asked to be removed from the call list many times and been told they would but that was the people making the calls, i work nights and its very annoying being woke up by these calls 2-3 times a week(sometimes twice a day) on top of all the other spam/scam calls.

The person takes your phone# and zip. And promises they will stop the robo calls.

Just started getting them again.  I don't answer.

Get calls all the time from this number. They never leave a message.

I let all calls go to my answering machine, I have it set on one ring, which states I screen my calls and on do not call list.  If they say who they are I will answer or if they leave number I may call back. Most are hangups so I'm not worried about even trying to get to the phone. Anyone who really wants me will leave message or yell Gail you home..  With my new cell, and I'm very selective who has the number, if odd ones come in I can mark as restricted and not be bothered again.

This is quite annoying.  Keep getting calls from this number.  There is often no one on the call.  Even if you pick up and hang it up or if you don't pick it up, they call back a few minutes later.
