An Indian man called from World Zen. He said we owed a debt from 10 years ago and that they had been trying to contact us for the past 7 years. He knew my previous address, and my full name, and that the debt is with a phone company. I asked him to proved proof of our debt by mail, and he refused! He said they don't do it, and started pressuring me into paying by phone now.  I hung up, but don't know what to do now. I don't even remember what company we were using back then.

We receive a call from this number every morning around 8:10 a.m.  I have no idea why they call us and when we answer we get a recorded message to call 1-800-469-0136.  I have called and only got a recording.  I left a message telling them not to call us again.  We are on the "Do Not Call" list.  Can you give me suggestions on how to stop this harassment?

I have been receiving the same calls for over a month. I finally returned the call and spoke to someone who removed my number from the list. Not sure how it got on the list in the first place.

I have been getting several calls a day asking me to call this number.  it is getting really frustrating!

I keep getting calls from World Zen 1-800-469-0136. They have been leaving me messages on my machine for the past month and I can't get them to stop. I have tried to call them and every time I get a recording. I'm really annoyed by this. Don't know what we can do to make them stop.

Same story here -- I'm reporting them to the district attorney and going to try to have the number blocked at the phone company.

Keep getting calls (4-5 times a day) telling me to call this number. What can I do to stop/block this number?

This has got to stop. Will someone at the phone company tell me how to stop these calls from this number.

I have been dealing with this company's harassing phone calls for months upon months. They keep asking for my father, who passed away a year ago. They started calling about four months after his death, but the odd thing is that they have been calling my mother's house, where he had not lived for well over 10 years. I spoke to the person each time, and they did not want to tell me anything at all about their company when I probed the caller with questions. They kept telling me it was a private matter...but apparently didn't understand what the word deceased means.Each time I offered to send them a death certificate and said that was the best I could do for them. They didn't accept that as an answer and tried to get me to fax something to them with my name, SSN, and signature on it. After I told them I couldn't do this and later got into a screaming match with the caller, we started receiving automated messages telling us to call a number to receive an important message. They even make a point to say that it is not a solicitation call. We haven't called back, but we don't know what else to do. We called the phone company and filed a complaint with the Do Not Call list. The phone company suggested legal action since the calls range from 3-6 calls a day and that we explained my father's situation to them. Does anyone have any suggestions? We don't really want it to come down to legal action...we would just like for them to stop calling...but we're on our last nerves with this harassing compan

We have been receiving this call several times a day. I mean, while we are just doing our normal every day house stuff, we hear the phone ringing, and we hear, in a ditzy woman's voice, "Hello, please call 1-800-469-0136. This is not a solicitation call". We have been angry about this call since February or March. I am still beyond livid, and it HAS TO STOP, OR I WILL TRACK THE PERSON WHO IS IN CHARGE, AND HE/SHE WILL GO TO JAIL!

This number 1-800-469-0136 calls my house everyday at least 2-4 times.  I tried a reverse search by number but it turned up nothing.  If it does not stop I will file harrassment charges and sue.  I'VE HAD ENOUGH!!!!!!!!!

Finally after weeks and weeks of getting calls from the crack of dawn until 9 at night and then leaving this message to call 1-800-469-0136 - I finally got through and it is World Zen a collection agency(as posted above) -- They leave messages all hours and in the evening when I got home I would call and get NADA but if you call during business hours (although they call 10 times a day and night) and give them your number they will tell you who they are looking for in my case it was for someone else but had linked by name to my number.  So we shall see now if the phone calls stop.

WORLDZEN Collectors are calling from INDIA trying to collect on old, very old, out of statute debts.

Do NOT fall for this scam, LVNV FUNDING is trying to collect on debts you may legally not owe, they are desperate to keep cash flow going so they purchase more older, stale, junk debts
to grease their pockets.

This is disgusting, these are VERY sleazy people, and you are warned that there is nothing they can do to effect collections:

NO Legal actions!
NO Credit bureau reporting or access!
NOTHING but lies, threats and illegal debt collections.

JUST SAY NO! to:  WORLDZEN COLLECTION AND RECOVERY, LLC & THE SLIMY COLLECTORS OF LVNV FUNDING.

I not got phone calls from these people for over a year evryday but they filed a law suit with my county court and sued me for $1000 plus $200+ in court fees.
They call and you get no info and when I did talk to someone he told me I was going to jail if I did not pay.  These LVNV [***] are the lowest forms life.  After that I no longer talked to anyone thinking that it must be a scam because no one talks like that!
I was wrong.  LVNV and the rest of you slimeballs go to hell!
