Got a call on my cell phone and I am on the DO NOT CALL list.

Got a call on my cell phone and informed a my about set-up technician and do service on my home. No name of the company and don't named what is the service. Like a automatic call, voice is the machine, not real person!

got a call from this same number.  Have disconnected my answering machine at this point.  Look up numbers from my caller ID after I get home.  I sure wish someone could do SOMETHING to these people that call bothering innocent  people.  I can't believe how many calls people are getting from  shady people and companies.  What a world we live in.

This is Contractor associated with Frontier calling regarding an installation appointment to set up services that have been requested. 1-800-469-0324

I received a call from them stating that they were Frontier calling to remind me of an appointment to install additional equipment.  I do not have Frontier...

automated message left on answering maching on Dec 16:

"Hello.  This is Frontier calling to remind you of your installation appointment on Dec 17.  Your technician is scheduled to arrive between the hours of 9am and 12pm.  Please remember that an adult must be present who can authorize work and give access to your property if needed.  If you need to change your appointment time to better fit your schedule, please call us at 1-800-469-0324.  We are committed to providing you with excellent service.  Goodbye."  message repeated

This "appointment" was news to me.  Called Frontier (using valid phone number) and they had No record of an installation appointment and thought the message must have been a misdial.  However, Frontier representative also did Not have a record of the 800 number left in the message (1-800-469-0324).  So not sure if this was a misdial or a scam where they try to get personal information from you if you call the 800 number back.

Just got this same message about it being Frontier for an appointment verification. I will state that I am supposed to have them come out tomorrow to setup my Internet so possibly legit?

Why not contact Frontier directly?  Their number should be on line or on a recent bill.

I was saying possibly legit in response to the guy above me who claims that frontier has no record of that number.

Side note, they did show up today to hook me up so I say it's legit.

Thank you. We do have a service call pending but they happened to call my cell phone which I never use for business calls so I didn't answer, then looked here for info, thinking it was another scam. When I saw your post I realised my mistake so thank you for that - I have returned their call (using my land line) & it is just one of their regular lines. Still, what's to stop the scammers from "borrowing" it - they do that to everyone else's! Thanks again!

just recieved the same exact message on my voicemail.I did not order an instal! I had a problem with my internet a couple of days ago but they weren't schedualed to check on my lines untiltomorrow. i called the number left on the voicemail (the one this thread is all about and got the usual reponce from Verison bla bla to make things faster type in the last four digets of your soc. I then got someone with an indian accent with a lot og background noise typical with telemarketers and he was breaking up bad like a bad connectoin then I hung up. I am next going to call Verizon and report this. With all the comments above ,I dont think this was an accident. My opinion.

I unfortunate do have Frontier, the pathetic replacement to even worse Verizon FIOS, but on FRIDAY, 7/1/16 I received a recorded message from caller ID: "TOLL FREE CALL", "1-800-469-0324", WITH THE MESSAGE -- WAIT FOR IT -- "THIS IS A REMINDER CALL FROM FRONTIER THAT AN INSTALLATION TECHNICIAN IS SCHEDULED TO ARRIVE AT 2PM ON JUNE 30..."

I guess Frontier has a time machine they're not admitting to, to give their customer a reminder call on Friday about service that is scheduled for the previous day, Thursday, 6/30/2016. Oh and by the way, this little episode is for tv service that has not worked since last April 2016.  Yeah, right on top of everything, Frontier FIOS, just like all the predecessor morons at Verizon FIOS.  Too bad all "I.T./tech support" departments have nobody who can troubleshoot their way out of a paper bag.

This abysmal service has been going on since July 28, 1978, from GTE, then Verizon, then Verizon FIOS, and now Frontier FIOS.  And with constantly increasing rates but ever-deteriorating service.

This number is probably being SPOOFED and IMPERSONATED by scammers in SOME cases.

yeah, thats what it is. i had a frontier apt and this thing was a bot just reminding me of it. if they called you and you dont have frontier(which owns verizon fios now) im sure it was an error

Legitimate number. It's an appointment reminder for service installation from Frontier Communications.

Legitimate. Just called me to remind me of my installation appointment tomorrow.

This is from Frontier (formerly Verizon) to remind you of a pending appointment for internet service. I actually did have an appointment scheduled.  I got this call on my cellphone and it is a legitimate phone number and not a scam, if that helps anyone.
