These [***] are the "800 Service" people. They call at all hours yet nothing shows up on my caller ID. The reason I know this is because my Comcast Digital voice center I can check online records what my caller ID does not, even there it comes in as anonymous sometimes. They have used at least a half a dozen phone numbers over the last two months which either ID's them as anonymous or "800 Service". I've asked them not so politely to to remove my number even though the gal remained nice and said she would contact the department that does that and get removed and all they did was retaliate with a half a dozen after midnight calls one after the other, fortunately I had that particular number blocked with my Comcast call block feature. Two can play at that game, so I've called them no less than 20 times in the last hour and put the phone down and went about my business. The trick is to dial *82 (star-eight-two-) and wait for a dial tone. It gives you a second line out of your own home and hides your own phone number to those you call, it's like dialing 9 to get out of an office and you come in to their phone as anonymous...try it with a friend sometime if you weren't aware of it just to make sure it works but I believe it is a national standard.
