Persistent debt collector; probably has wrong number, but didn't want to call back and validate my number as "live".  May be legit since there isn't a long string of replies/gripes...

there a colletion agency. they brake the do not call list laws . they are known to call friends and family members to that they think you live with. so be careful they can also be crooks....

I to just got a call on my answering machine from 800-480-0937,   I suspected it was EOS CCA, 700 Longwater Drive, Norwell, MA  02061  as I recently got a letter from them.  They are a debt collector for a 5 year old dispute that I have had with Verizon.  They also use 800-434-8681 if you want to block them both.

Received a call regarding a Verizon bill. I never had service with Verizon. I asked for the address they were calling from and the caller abruptly ended the call by stating "this is not going to be on my credit report".

Calling my job... even if there is someone here without a debt, they will not get through to harrass people at work!

They called left a message on my answering machine for my recently deceased grandmother who has never lived with me at this address. Thanks, that was just what I needed today.

This number called my stepmom who lives in another state asking for me. Not even sure how they got her information. This is wierd and I don't like it!

Just received call..Left message for a relative.  Next time I will answer and press 1 to remove my #.  Hopefully that will work.  Relative says they did not put my # down as reference.  Truth? Don't know but i am on the do not call list.  Don't know if this is supposed to help when someone puts you down as reference.

Here we go again!  This is an agency that claims to be collecting for Verizon- problem is- when pressed for details, their information is totally off base- they will not provide documentation of any debt that is supposedly owed-

They called me on my cell phone which I never have giving out. The man on the phone said it was a important business matter and I have your last 4 of you social on my desk (which I didn't understand why would you have that) but I just hung up on him for been rude.

I got a call on my cell phone and I didnt answer it. They left a message. It had a loud beep sound and then a male voice that said something about phone numbers. I am a minor. This freaks me out.

Got a call for my ex of 28 years for a debt of his .  How and why they called me?!!!?!!! Then today got another call from a debt collector for him. How annoying!!! I just hung up, think next time I will push 1 and give them a piece of my mind,

I got multiple calls asking for person of same name as my ex son-in-law from 17 years ago.  I filed a compliant with the Federal Trade Commission at the Do-Not-Call web site which was accepted.  It took about 2 minutes on-line.  If the complaint count gets high enough, maybe FTC will audit these folks' compliance with the law and fine them.

I can not get these unwanted call. The collecters keep calling and wont stop

Got the first call from these scum-sucking bottom feeders.  Supposedly collecting a debt from somebody we never heard of.  No opportunity to talk to someone there or respond in any way, as they called late on a Friday night.

We've lived at this address and had the same phone number for over fifty years.  This is no mistake.  Somebody is scamming us.

Calling my mother and grandmother (who just died) several times a day....

I just received a third call from this number. When I answer they immediately hang up. Am sure it is an automated system trying to see when a live person is home. Since I know this is a debt collector (have received other calls from companies trying to reach people that had this phone number before and we have only had this number less than 2 months) and we have no debt, I actually called this number and spoke with a representative there who was actually extremely helpful. When I provided the phone number they called, she looked up the information and informed me of the name of who they were looking for. When I explained who I was and that we recently obtained the phone number, she emphatically apologized and went through and processed a removal request while I was on the phone.

I have dealt with debt collectors before and this was by far the nicest one I have dealt with especially when they have the wrong numbers.
