message - lower credit card rates blah blah blah

Answer the phone to an automated message saying it is so-and-so calling from member card services with an important offer to lower the interest rates on my credit card from 2-12 percent and to press 1 to be connected to an agent or 3 to disconnect.  I've received this call a couple of times and pressed 1 on both occasions with the hope of getting on their do-not-call list.  Both times an automated voice says to wait for an important call twice then the phone disconnects.  I *69'd and was give 800-493-1304.  I called the number several times, was simply hung-up about five times, once an annoyed sounding  woman said "Hellloooo!" and then hung up, and twice some one actually answered "MCS."  I said I received calls from them and wanted to be put on their DNC list.  They took my number and I said it's interesting that their message makes it sound like their from someones credit card issuer, and the woman said it says nothing of the sort, banged the phone on a desk and hung up!  Hah!  I called back a few more times and they only answered MCS once.  The automated call-out message says it's from Member Card Services, but if you Google 800-493-1304 the first hit is www.mcsprograms.com or Mutual Consolidated Programs, a debt consolidation company.  The company is located in Tacoma, WA, and I live in British Columbia, Canada.  I wouldn't think that an American debt consolidator would be able to help with Canadian debts...

Automated message stated that our low interest credit card rate was about to expire and to press 1 for details. I just hung up as that is not the case.

800-493-1304   this number has finally show in my caller id... [***] will dread the day when I get someone to answer their line, Ha Ha. Sorry for the language but I've been pestered with automated messages from these people and their crap offers... from what I gathered from my canadian phone provider is that this company is not trying to scam your phone account as some hoax/telebadgering calls do, these guys want our credit card information for their own purposes. Whatever those may be, further more because the number is an american number and uses multi-line output we shouldn't technically beable to call  their'800-493-1304  ' number ... Anon I would love nothing more to piss these guys off, so I'll try calling a few more times, hell... it's a 1-800number everyone who reads this post should call them if they've already been pestered by MEMBER CARD SERVICES, Load of bollocks an crab-shuk.  I'M CALLING THEM NOW...

Okay, little update I checked out the website that Anon posted and found the customer service contact number for MCP/MCS well that just happens to be  1-866-MCS-WEALTH , Now I have just called this number and requested that I be removed from their 1-800-493-1304 automated callout service. their responce was...of course... " surly we can do this," the gentleman who answered sounded very monotone and took my phone number and informed me that it would take a couple weeks for my number to be blocked completely but that it would eventually be blocked more or less.   [1866627932584 =  1-866-MCS-WEALTH] By the Way Anon, thanks for the pointer on their site, hope you read this and get yourself yanked from their shitlist too!

God i hate these guys!!!!!
They are calling all my numbers.
I have filed several complaints to the CRTC in canada against them already.   THEY ARE SO STUPID they even call my kids cell phones as well!!!!  ( kids under 13 and 15 )

these buggers also block thier caller ID, displaying 000-000-0000... pressing 1 to speak to a live agent to be removed from the calling list just gets you hung up on (they do answer MCS)... 3 calls so far to the same system, pressed 'remove' the first two times, hung up on on the third

i recieved a call this afternoon from this 1 800-493-1304 and it got the answering machine and did not leave a message,  i tried calling back but it doesn't accept blocked numbers.
however if anyone finds a valid phone number or fax number for them  i would like to know ..  
i have learned from the best how to beat these people at their own game.
trick is to call and send faxes to them so it costs them time and money.
the more u call these places and keep them on the line the more they lose  money..

Recieve atleast 3 to 5 of these calls in a week. Either 1-800-493-1304 or 000-000-0000 comes up.  I have either won a free trip to Miami,or have the chance to lower my credit card debt.  Pressed 1 in hopes to get my number removed, woman answered heavy New York accent.  She go very nasty when I asked what credit card she was talking about, I said she was a scam, and will report her to Feds, she hung up.

yep i to have been contacted by these moofoos for a 3 weeks straight now and i to call back to get sorry they do not acept blocked calls please unblock your number yada yada and call back, so i used my cell to call them and i get this women who was rude and seemed put out that i would dare call them back.

these people call at lease three time a week thay clame to be calling card service in the firse place no credit card company want to lower any interest(I would concider them to be fraudeter) sorry if my english is not good

these people are acctually calling you people to get ur self qualified with lower intrest
that guy took my info
and gave me a lower intrest rate that was around 6
and i m happy with it
they paid all my bills to the bank
and then they gave me the loan on a lower intrest

I gave them my number to be put on the do not call list but that increased the calls from one per week until 3 per week. I actually talked to someone this morning. The call outs are contracted out to an off shore company and they get paid for the number of connected calls. Do push 1, it costs them money every time a call connects. It does not help to try and talk to someone.

I will give an update if I get a response from any of the regulatory agencies.

dany must work for these guys. They charge $129.00 for something that is available free from a debt counsellor.  I would rather go bankrupt than trust these guys with my credit card number. Check out what Global has to say about them. The only thing they are good at is constantly phoning. Push 1 and see how long you can keep them on the line and not give them any information.  18 min. today.

I have been harassed by these guys on my home phone, my business line, my cbusiness FAX# as well as my cell phone.  When I asked to speak with a supervisor I was given (no kidding) the 1 800# for SEARS credit services.  what a bunch of low lifes ...

I dont answer 800 calls. Usually google them first to see whats what.
They dont give up.  Tired of being driven nuts by Yankee rip off companies.When is Canada going to do something about these damn telemarketers!!!!!!!!!!!

numerous messages left on answering machine that makes it sound like there's a problem with your credit MCS. I have managed to speak to some 3 times now and have demanded they remove my number from their list.  Twice they hung up on me, and once I was assured they would remove my number, but alas they still call!  I am calling a privacy request number for telus to complain and see if they can get me removed or do something!  GRRRRRR
Can you not sue these guys if you've requested to be removed and they still call?

Hi I read you message, and wanted to say I've talked to them 3 times to tell them to take me off their list, and they still call.  I was so mad by the third time I yelled and swore for them to take me off their damned $@## list and they still call!!!!!!!!!  I just went to their web site and sent them an email to tell them to take me off their list!  We'll see what happens!
