Got a call from "American Electric Power" stating that our Ohio business power was about to be shut off - unless we paid our bill by credit card, RIGHT NOW!! A Google search found that 800-495-1533 belongs to "Natural Animal Hospice" in Palm Springs, California and the number previously has been used to scam customers of Pacific Power and Light.

Had someone who said they were a technician from PGE and were going to shut off power to a business for non payment.  Had me call 800 495 1533.  "Richard" insisted that a cash payment of $1497.78 had to be made by cash via Greendot money pack at a Fred Meyer.  Said to call back vrification #'s and he would tell the technician not to shut off power.  I called PGE and they verified it was a scam and wouldn't just shut of someone's power.  This Richard also called back 3 times the same afternoon.  Very persistent.
