Do you all have a security system installed? I think this might be the security system trying to call the station...?

Brinks home alarm systems dial that number, however, it's only for system updates.  I don't believe they dial that for intrusions.

I've been getting charges for 800-495-3555 & 809-495-3555.  I've never made these calls.  Today I dialed the number & it's a fax #. Tmobile insists I made the calls from my home.  Why would I be calling a fax
    # 500 times a day?!  I'm contacting the FTC.  These calls are being charged to my number fraudently.

I'm a Brinks customer. Actually they changed their name to Broadband Security.

I think during their transition (Merger) a record of all phone numbers may have been out back in service to ping the security systems that once belonged to our phone numbers. Whether current or archived.

So, either you have an alarm system, had an alarms system or the phone number you have now once had an alarm system attached too it.

Just my best guess based on what I know being a customer for a long time. I get update(s), pings and  encryption updates on my alarm system from that number usually around 1:30am. My phone does not actually ring because the system immedietly identifies the ping before actually ringing.

You can call 1-800-867-2598   It is the Broadview service office where you can (find out) how to  Schedule a move for services.

    Or Customer Care 1-800-445-0872

    You can call 1800

I am sorry about the phone calls. But what this number is for a security system to dial out to report burglars and other alarm signals. It is your brinks alarm system

The phone number is used to report burglar alarms and other signals it sounds like a fax machine but it really is a central station receiver that decodes signals so cops can be dispatched.

When I'm on a call the call is dropped!  I logged into my telephone account and since the system was installed on October 10, 2010 my account is showing my telephone number calling 1-800-495-3555 about every 2 minutes at all times of the day.  I have a print over the last 4 days and there were at least 60+ calls from my number to 1-800-495-3555.

I saw this number on my call log, placed at 2:40 am. As folks have said, it was a call placed by my system to the alarm company (ADT in my case). I'm going to guess it was some sort of an automated update. Also, if you have an alarm and you do your weekly test, as you are supposed to, you will have an 800 number on your call log as well.

I think every time you turn your alarm on or off, the phone line is used to notify Brinks / Broadview.  You can check the times to see if they match.

Actually that's the downloading phone number, not the central station receiver. I know this from experimenting with Brinks panels myself using a telephone line simulator and an RS-485 adapter. Also, this number is located in the panel configuration record (might be hard coded and unchangeable though) while the central station number is located in the communicator record.

Why are you replying to a 9-year old post? Do you really think that person will ever return to see your reply?
