Recd a message to call back. They say they are Green Point FRI. I don't know who that is. I recalled the number and got voice mail from extension left. Left my name and never received a call back. I did apply for a home equity loan but never heard of this company, Weird!

Did you receive an email or anything stating for you to fax them documentation or to send them money?

I received an email from an Elaine Sutton stating she was chief loan officer from Greenpoint Financial Resources telling me that I was approved for a personal loan and told me to contact her using 1-800-495-6850 Ext. 3575.  I called the number and actually spoke with a lady by that name apparently. I spoke with her several times over the phone at that number in regards to the loan, the rest of the contact was done by email at www.greenpontfri.com  The emails said for me to fax information like voided check, 2 forms of ID, income information, etc... (which I did) and in order to secure the loan I needed to send payment for some kind of insurance policy. I sent the payment, thinking it was legitimate, and of course-NO LOAN! It's a SCAM!!!!!!!!!!!
