Pretending to be electric, water company. Claim they will be shutting off services unless payments are made via gift cards. Old scam. Don't fall for it.

Called and said I needed to call 866-978-4626 (billing) because my comed was scheduled t be shut off. When I called, it sounds exactly like a comed call center. They mentioned the wrong address. At this point I knew it was a scam to I said yes and played along. They said I owed $1,095 and it needed to be paid within the hour because a tech was on his way. TOTAL SCAM. Do not fall for these idiots.

Just had a call at my business and said they were NYSEG and we were gonna be shut off.  Played along and asked for account number, since I have several buildings, the man said "uh oh uh oh" and said we need to get to billing department.  SCAM, already called power company to notify of this scam
