Hang up call

Caller said he was my grandson.  Line was very noisy also with feed back everytime I spoke. That he was in an accident and in jail.  Gave me a phone number to call regarding bail. The number I called said they needed $19000.00 but ended up coming down to $9500.00. Did I have cash in the house or did I have to go to the bank.  I had figured out shortly into the call that it was a scam.  But 100% unstandard how older people could fall for it.I wish I had figured out if I had cash what I was supposed to do with it.  Stuff itthrough the phone???  Probably go buy gift/money cards.  Well they didn't get this older lady and my grandson is fine and not in jail.

Caller said he was my grandson, when I asked who is this, he again said this is your grandson and asked how I was doing and then hung up fine I said fine

Wish I had answered the call now after reading your info. I would of told them good that’s where he belongs and hung up.
