- simonlai didn't answer this call, but sent reply text msg "I'll call back later". Thank goodness for google to cross reference phone numbers and read what goes on with random incoming calls. I personally don't answer calls if an assigned name doesn't appear.
- tbrownGuy calling stating the same thing about my hp computer about corrupted files- I did not give any information
- KimGot the same call about my HP computer and someone is trying to hack it. Wanted me to connect the "secure HP server" so they could fix it.
- AutumnJust got a call from this number and basically same thing. My HP computer that has not been on in over a year cause the motherboard broke, apparently is sending error codes to HP which apparently means hackers are stealing and using my IP address for criminal activity. I am not the smartest when it comes to technology but unless he was talking about a static ip address those things change constantly. he was gonna send me a new computer to "fix" the problem and all I would pay is the small shipping fee of $50. 1st -That WOULD NOT fix a static IP address. still would be the same. That's why its STATIC. 2nd- why would hp send me a brand new computer for an issues relating to people hacking my internet provider info?? I'm not a moron. Fricken rotten people.
- Caller: "HP"
- EyeWonder2Received call from "John" at "HP" customer support who said that my HP computer was sending out notices, and asked if I had contacted HP for support. He said I should have, and asked if I was aware my computer was downloading "colorbit files". I answered no, and no. He then said that he would help me take these "colorbit files" off my computer. I think I broke his heart when I told him that I was rather enjoying the colorbit files and one was allowing me to see him right now. I asked if he was aware that it wasn't nice to make random phone calls and lie to little old ladies about what his real name was, who he worked for, and to tell them that their computers were broken and sending messages to the HP company and needed fixing. I told him my grandson worked for the real HP Company, was three times his size, never lied to Grandma, and was tracing this call right now... and then I think we must have gotten disconnected ;-)
