Wasn't spam. Call from Kroger telling me to return yellow peaches I bought a few days ago. I'm bummed, the peaches are very good.

    Day late and dollar short
Recall notice on peaches sold by Kroger and other vendors, due to potential salmonella contamination. Finished them up last week, the day I first saw the recall on local news.

Absolutely legit, I just ate some product (cooked shrimp) tonight, and my bag was not part of this recall, although I thank the Kroger family of stores for the call. There are a few replies here that make me wonder about mankind?

You mean like all the replies from people who already know who called them & thus have no logical reason to look up the phone number?

This IS a call from Kroger about a product that was recalled.  In our case it was frozen shrimp purchased from their Roundy's Pick 'n Save store in town. As noted elsewhere a recalled item could have been purchased at any of the following: Kroger, Baker’s, City Market, Dillons Food Stores, Food 4 Less, Fred Meyer Stores,  Fry’s Food and Drug,  Gerbes, Harris Teeter,  Jay C Food Store, King Soopers / City Market,  Pay-Less Super Markets, Quality Food Centers (QFC), Ralphs, Roundy’s (Pick ‘n Save), Ruler Foods,  Smith’s Food and Drug.
BigA: Nice that you accused someone of lying without doing your own research.

No research needed. Let us look at the facts (according to your post).  You received a call from Kroger, correct?  They told you that a product was recalled, correct?  At that point you knew exactly who called and what the call was about, correct?  Then you went and looked the number up, correct?  Now, what possible reason would you have to do that, knowing (according to your two previous posts) who called and why?  Do you make a habit of looking up every phone number that calls you regardless of who it is that called you?  For instance if a family member, your doctor, your pharmacy, etc. called you would you look those numbers up afterwards as well to tell us that they were "legitimate" calls?  I doubt it.  So, it looks like you are one of the scumbag scammers as well.

100% Legit.. Kroger is just giving courtesy calls to people who recently pursed something that has been recalled. If you have a discount card for Kroger, King Soopers, City Market or any other related store, that's how they got your phn #.

This number called me 18 times within 1 minute at 10 minutes to 10: 00pm. No messages left. Figured if it was important after 18 calls a voicemail would have been left.
