why is an 800 number calling me at 9pm

claiming to be merchant services.  constantly getting these bs messages.  block this number immediately.

received call from this number, no caller ID name, message was left.  Message stated they were calling about my Merchant Services business account .. blah, blah, blah  - I don't have a merchant services account

Hung up upon answering.

This is a BS attempt you get you to return their call. They call and leave a message at 9am on Sunday, knowing no business is open. Their message is if you do not reply to this number you are agreeing to the higher cost of merchant services.  Fraud spam and a scam

Ditto to the above...scam! I don't even know what merchant they are talking about. And why would they call on a Sunday?

Unwanted solicitation

They called me yesterday (Sunday) at 4:41 with the same message about merchant services rates going up. I'm a merchant and utilize credit card processing, so just called and spoke to a guy who read something from a script about credit card companies raising rates and they can help to keep them from going up. I'm still not entirely clear what they do but don't care and asked them to remove me from their list.

Same here, 7pm Sunday night call.  Google Voice transcribed the call....

You may have recently noticed an increase in monthly service fees on your processing statement without a response from you the assumption will be made that you accept the increased cost please know you do have the option of contacting your merchant services partners office to cataract the increase however it is done on request only in must be done in a timely manner merchant account executives can be reached directly at 800 559 5769 between the hours of 8 a.m.. And 5 p.m.. Central standard time again. The direct line is 800 559 5769 failure to respond will result in continuation of increase costs. Thank you.

We got a Sunday evening call from this number at our Non-profit. All the signs of a total scam. DO NOT return a call from this number.  It could be one of those spam calls that answers with a message and tries to record your voice saying "yes" to use as consent for something.  Not good.

Just got a message stating if I don't call back immediately I will experience significant increase in costs and fines. No identifier of company or why just that I will be fined and have increase costs. SPAM.

Had a message but only the last few words were recorded. It said " 559 5769 failure to respond will result in continuation of increase costs. Thank you." Upon reading these other responses, it's obvious it's SPAM. I also received the call at 4:21 pm on a Sunday.

This merchant services has no idea what the hell they talking about.    That's why I love cash so I don't have
to deal with these idiots.   This stuff has to do with the Dodd-Frank Act, which has been pretty much disregarded
at this point.  Two clowns that wanted to track your credit card business and add a tax at the same time.
Both are out of government service and forgotten.  Does anyone know just who merchant services really is?
Where are they located and why have they been preaching this junk for at least three-years.  It's a scam!

I receive calls from this number all the time, even just now on Sunday June 11th at 12:35 PM and they hang up. I would really like to see sanctions against this caller

Automated call stating my national insurance number (weren’t sure if it was correct as don’t know it off by heart) saying it’s a serious crime Iv commited and need urgently to talk to someone by pressing 1 otherwise I will be arrested and taken to court probably resulting in imprisonment. Never don anything wrong in my life. Promptly put phone down and googled number.
