Got a pop-up ad from WebmediaAlertService.org on my phone. Said my iPhone was infected and to call iOS Tech Support at this number for "assistance on removing the virus". Could this be related to the East Indian "Windows Company" that fixes (infects) Microsoft software?

Got the same pop up but can't get rid of it. Any thoughts. I restarted my phone but it's still there

had the same problem i called iPhone support 800-694-7466  and they helped me get it off my phone

Was able to get pop removed, but did give all my credit card info and then found out it was in US dollars. Told them to expensive. Will wait and see if they charge my card.

Why on earth would you wait?  Call your CC company to either block the charge or get a new card number!

Blocking this quickly means the banking system in the US can quickly figure out what card processor the scammers are using and demand an investigation be made and block further charges from that card processor. It's then up to the card processor to go after the merchant that is abusing their account with the card processor. One hundred dollars of US money goes a very long way in India.
