supposedly this was verizon calling to renew our "plan." i talked to a woman named leona. sounds like a scam.

This is Verizon. I answered and at first though it  was a scam. I listened to see what it was about. I realized they were calling  to let me know as a courtesy that the discounts had expired off of my account. They called me to renew the discounts. Answer  because they do call for Verizon and they saved me $72 off of my bill each month.   seriously. they are legit.

We have already renewed and made changes to our plan earlier this year 2014 with Verizon. Why would they call to renew our discounts again.  Scam  

They called to renew my plan with Verizon I ask them what number this was for and they gave me number that was not even a Verizon number. I told him that number was not a Verizon number and he said he was sorry and hung up before i could ask any other questions.

You're full of it.  They are NOT Verizon, they are APEX Customer Care he told me.  They are scammers.  I have a legal background & I ground that guy down to nothin'.

The guy who called told me his name was Dominic Modeste and that his number extension was x1011.  I HATE being lied to and duped.  These companies are lying vipers and they slam your phone lines.  We have 11 lines and they lied once and said they got permission from some fictitious name and went ahead and did it, all 11 lines.  Our company was down and out/in communicado for 24 hours!!!  Don't fall for this f***g horseshite!

Mrs manic sorry that happened to you but dominc modeste was more than helpful to me and my company amd know handel's all of our accounts . Its not directly verizon but they are authorized verizon reps , have you ever tried calling into to verizon !!!!Better yet try get the same person twice . Look just like any other company the outsource their work and the good thing about it their doing it in the u.S.!!!!

I've already renewed. Caller ID comes up as "unavailable". They definitely sound like 3rd party scammers walking that fine line sounding like they are Verizon but really are not.

They are authorized Verizon reps. Verizon themselves do not make outbound calls, if someone calls you "from Verizon" they are lying. Apex Customer Service works for Master Agent Sova who has a contract with Verizon. They are not a scam, they have to read the same CPNI that you will hear if you call into Verizon. They handle renewals of business accounts.

Verizon wanna be. Don't fall for these guys. They are scammers and will screw up your phone system royalty. Tell them to take a hike and hang up. Halen claiming to be from Verizon.

Called my office line today. I didn't answer and no vm was left. Based on the various comments above I don't intend to answer it again even if it is legit.  Unfortunately, the phone is no longer a trustworthy way to contact me when asking to make decisions about things like phone systems and plans.

The comments on here that are encouraging you to take these calls seriously are simply bots.  Don't fall for them.  Read them all.  They sound too much the same.  They are bots working for Apex .

They called a business line, claiming to be someone they weren't

not verizon- they called our business and our business does not have verizon!

Posing as Frontier Telecommunications. Someone named "Haley" asked for us to call her back at extension 1003 regarding our contract renewal. Glad I searched the number before having our accounting returning the call.

They called saying they were with Frontier not Verizon? I called Frontier, they do not make phone calls like this. Do not give any info out and do not sign anything sent to you per Frontier. You can call the Frontier @ 1 (800) 921-8101 to make sure. I called back the 1-800 number that called me and it did say Apex.

Received a call and email from Julio from Appex stating our contract from frontier was invalid and we needed to sign a new contract. We reached out to our frontier contact who advised not to deal with appex and our contract was valid and our services were than fraudulently terminated by appex!

Well, I got the call from these idiots and this time they were representing themselves as "Frontier Communications" (our landline and DSL provider).  When pressed specifically if they were actually Frontier Communications, she admitted they were an "authorized agent".
