Got a call from "Chatelle" at x3262 asking for my dead father.  Regarding some bogus case number

they keep calling this number and I tried to call them back only to find it keeps ringing and ringing. This seems totally bogus. I didn't respond like a month ago and they say its a "TIME SENSTITIVE MATTER"

more like time sensitive bULL$$it to me.

Completely bogus-- I asked for their location and definitly didn't want to give out that information. I want them to stop and If they can't list proper information.

THESE PEOPLE ARE BOGUS. I hope they trace my call and stop harassing me.

computerized voice-message, again indicating "time sensitive" to both my cell and work numbers.  When I called back first time, I was placed on hold immediately, called back a second time, I requested the woman who answered to state the proper name of the company, then indicated for me to verify my name and telephone number.  She refused to produce any information on the company, indicating they answer for several different companies.  I stated we do not allow soliciations of any sort.  She then repeatedly requested my name and telephone number, when I insisted on being transferred to the "company" that keeps calling my numbers, she then hung up.

Just got a call from them today. They were asking for my brother and left this phone number and a reference number on our answering machine. Someone deleted the caller ID# before I could check it. Who are they?

They are contracted with the Federal Government to collect on defaulted student loans.

Sat: 9-6-07 8:48 AM, listed on my caller ID as Private Caller.. A very stern voice named "Elizabeth" left a voice mail on my home ph# requesting a call back from my 1st husband who died in 1995.  She gave an eroneous case# of 34214635.  Elizabeth also "sternly" said the phone call must be returned before noon today or M-F 8am-9pm CST, next week.  I erased the phone #

While I was typing the message previously entered from a voice mail I had on my recorder from an Elizabeth, I take a phone call from another "Private Caller" who was a woman.  I asked her who she was and who she was with.  "She said her name was Vanessa and she was with CCA and she was calling for (my first husband who died in 1995--I am not providing the name for security reasons, but I will say it was an extremely well-used name)."  I told her to never call my phone # again.  Well, we'll see????

This company keeps calling my number looking for another person rent the apartment I currently live in - this person does not live here and I am in no way related to this person or involved with this person - EVER.  I have called them several times letting them know that this person does not live at this address, has not in three years and have requested that they quit calling my number.  I have even threatened them with a law suite for harrassment and they are still calling.

These jerks have been calling my phone number for over a year now - FINALLY I was so irritated that I decided to call them back and ask them who the heck they were and who were they trying to get ahold of (because they fail to ask for anyone specific on the answering machine.  I got ahold of a woman, who said they were "CCA."  And I said, "and what is CCA?" she stated that it was a collection agency.  I asked who and what were they continuously calling for for years now!?  She asked my phone number, and when she looked it up, she said they were calling for two people who have extremely SIMILAR names to me, but they were of the opposite sex and people that I definitely do NOT know or have EVER known - sounded totally made up!  I said that this was absolutely ridiculous and sounded like such a scam! and she calmly & quitely stated "I'll take your number off our list" and hung up.  Hopefully that takes care of it.

"PRIVATE CALLER" on caller ID.  She did leave a voice message - "Tina" at x-43314.  Garbled the company name - probably on purpose - so couldn't be identified.  Said it was "urgent" we call back today before 7 and gave a "case" number.  I am filing a complaint with the FTC - I am on Do Not Call list.

"Private Caller" - the voice said that his name is Chris and that I need to call them before 9pm CST. They also said that this is not a solicitation or advertisement. I didn't get a case # though as some have. The callback number given was 1-800-566-6128 and it came through on my brand new work cell phone#.

There is no name associated with this number.They are very vague in thier message.

I get the same deal with these idiots. They call once or twice a day on a non registered pay as you go phone in Canada so there's no way they that number could be even registered to any debt in the US not that I have any here either. I called once to explain they had the wrong number and the woman on the other end insisted they weren't calling me. I told her to erase my number and leave me alone but she still insisted that number wasn't in her database. After I told her she was calling a Canadian number she got quite confused of course and said that can't be right it doesn't work that way. I just don't pick up when I see their number but how annoying!

CCA is not connected to the Fedral goverment. They are just debt collectors. Check your states laws in regards to debt collection there are statues of limitation in most states. They will always have the right to "try" and collect a debt but they cannot intimidate you at all. They cannot lie to you or try to trick you in any way shape or form. After the statue of limitations is up they cannot attach anything to you credit report, call your neighbors or anything of the sort. Do not give out any information to them or even try to deal with them if you do it will re-open the claim and start anew. I just don't answer the number.

Debt Collectors calling on behalf of "AT&T Mobility". Attempted to settle a cell phone account from $500 down to $350, split into multiple payments. The caller was polite, but repeatedly attempted to gather my SS#, cell phone#, and family member contact info.

They have been calling my work, leaving messages on my phone with a reference #.  I finally called back, gave my reference # and told them not to call anymore, I'm not paying anything and I've filed for bankruptcy, if this doesn't work I will be contacting my attorney regarding these annoying people.
