- BrianIt possibly is a good service to have. However, the service was subscribed to by the previous owner of the phone number for a zip code 2000 miles away. And getting irrelevant weather messages at 5:30 in the morning when I'd finally fallen asleep after a bad night is not my idea of a great service. It will not surprise you to hear I have since opted out.

- MMMI get this call whenever a severe storm is headed to my neighborhood. I signed up for it on the Florida state site.
It has been very valuable. If you live in a area prone to tornadoes and a call comes in at night, you should answer it or listen as your answering machine does. It will leave a message. I have it on both my home phone and my cell and I'm glad I do. I believe the message also tells you at the end how to stop receiving the warnings.- Caller: Emergency Info NWS or local?
- ManicMorticiaI called the opt-out number and was told my number is not registered for alerts, yet they keep calling me. WTH?
