Number called twice, left no message. No idea.

This is just one of many numbers from the law office of Michael J Scott, a debt collection attorney.

I received call from this number, would not leave message, person requested by them no longer works here

Call saying call is intended ONLY FOR **** ***** who is NOT ME!!  Heard this (collection) office was nothing but a huge rip-off, robbing you blind.

Received call, very forceful voice asking about Someone.
Was not happy when I said wrong number.
Started to ask additional questions.........
I stated, wrong number again...
They hung up.

This # keeps calling and asking for someone with the same name as my Son and it is not for my Son. It is a recording and states if you are not that person to hang up............ I do and they start calling again, eventually!  They were calling a couple of months ago - stopped- now started again, UGH!!!!!

Calling my husband's work number, and won't listen to him when he tries to tell them it is the wrong number.  They simply hang up.

Has called many times for my ex-husband.  I have not lived with him for 7 years!  He has NEVER lived @ this address.I told them today to remove my number from their calling list. He said he could NOT do that because it is in their file!  This is second time I told them to removed my name & number.

same as everyone else.  Have had 2 calls so far and will not answer phone.  Keep leaving voice message.  Annoying.  Trying to block number.

It is the law office of Michael J Scott. What is so funny about them is they supposedly filed a lawsuit against me yet they keep calling which from what I understand is illegal. So it is rather frustrating that they claim to be suing me for something that is not even showing on my credit report, yet they send me papers that are taped to my door that weren't even filled out correctly by whoever supposedly served them to me, and they still call....seems like a rather BIG scam to me. I just wish companies like theirs would get sued and be SHUT DOWN!

They call my cell phone all day long...I dont answer my phone unless I know the number and I will only call you back if you leave a message....every time I call the number I get nothing. Now they called my job...wanting my date of birth before they tell me what the call is in regards too. You don't give me information I DONT give out my date of birth or my social security..I was told they are trying to get to that by getting my information first I told them I thought they were frauds and he repeated what I said and he was not getting any information from me if I'm not getting information from him he said he would just mail me what he is calling me for....Well then you just do that mister.....DON'T CALL MY JOB OR MY CELL PHONE I DONT OWE ANYONE ANYTHING SO LEAVE ME ALONE......

Fred H., your exactly right!   Got the same exact message, except Adam Sam name was changed to my father's name.

I wonder why they would want him to call back at a different number other than the one they called from?

I've heard of Caller Spoofing ID, and I don't trust anything like that.

I plan to ask my father about if he knows such a place, if not, I'll find the real Michael J Scott on line and call their real number / email, and check more than just the first Google page, and do research first!

Never, never trust anyone with your information.   Always research a company that calls you first.   Never call them back at the number they give you, as they can spoof their caller ID nowadays.


Just remember, it is unconfirmed - Michael J. Scott Attny., as they can be "pretending" to be someone else, especially since they leave a second number to call rather than the original number they call from.

I assume the Scott is Michael J. Scott, which interestingly is also a tv name.  This company in not listed in the Dallas Area phone book yellow pages.
Their method of operations is harassment.  They left a message on my home phone & I never returned the call so they obtained some number in Mississippi & left a message for me stating they were trying to collect a debt.  The Mississippi people are not related to me nor have I ever lived at their address or phone #.
I have lived at the same address in Texas for 25 years, same phone #.  Interestingly, they have not tried to contact me on my cell phone & have not attempted to contact my husband, but instead called some random people in Mississippi!
Looks like there should be a class action lawsuit against them.

I called them back angrily and told them to please remove my number from their calling list.  He asked for the number (and I am going to make up my name here), I gave it and he said:  "Is this Joe Smith" and I said "yes but you have the wrong one -- we get lots of calls like this".  He said "this is not Joe E. Smith" and I said no.  I then proceeded (real angry now) to tell him that he needs to work harder at finding the right people and not annoying the wrong people.  He said he would take my name off the list.  I have gotten 7 calls from them today.  I hear a little ding when the blocked number is blocked.

same as everyone else.. Said I was being sent a court order or something like that..said li owe big bill to some credit card co from 2001.. Said they wouldn't call me back if I would just make pymt!!i have never had that kind of  credit card that I owe!!! What a scam, they call at least once every day!!
