These people taped a notice on my front door! This was a scare tactic for money! The worse part is they didn't put it in my mail box...the dummy used duck tape and stuck it on my door!!!

What you are saying is not true, collection agencies have no right to call your cel phone without your permission, not before 8 am and to after 9 pm, they have no right to call constantly, that is considered harassment , the " do ot call " list is for telemarketers, but there are laws protecting us from being harassed by rude collection agencies, and you think most collection agencies will apologize if you tell them they have the wrong number, are you crazy? That is laughable.

Verizon, huh?  They left NO message, called back immediately after hanging up on my answering machine, and the number is not a good callback number (well gee, if they left a dang MESSAGE maybe I could call them back).  I don't deal with third-party creditors to begin with, so if I can talk to them I will be sending a Cease and Desist Letter.  Second, both of our Verizon accounts are in good standing with no balance currently; so if they try to tell me otherwise, they WILL be schooled.

USPS prohibits delivery of anything to your mailbox which did not bear postage. The FDCPA does not prohibit personal visits to your door, but violations could occur within the content of the notice or if the notice was not discreetly folded or sealed, thus revealing your alleged debt problem to others. It would not surprise me to learn that this agency fears postal inspectors more than consumer complaints.

Personally when I've had to post notices on homes, for an entirely different purpose, I would try to avoid adhesives. As a last resort I carried gaffer's tape, a staple of media production crew toolkits, which unlike duct tape has a very low chance of leaving residue or pulling paint when removed.

I have received nearly 2 dozen "verified" calls from Diversified Consultants just in the last 2-3 weeks alone. Turns out they were looking for my father, who I haven't lived with in nearly ten years. When I finally had the opportunity to speak with them, they were agreeable to removing my number from their list. I say "verified" because I have only verified that one of the numbers calling me is indeed Diversified Consultants. That number is 401-536-9836, out of Providence Rhode Island. What I find MOST interesting about this phone number, is a google search pulls up the number as a Plumbing/Heating company.... seems sketchy! I have also received another 2 dozen or so calls in that time period from another 2 numbers with the same area code... I haven't had a chance to pick up for either of those yet, but I am assuming they are also DCI.

these scumbags buy up old old debt for a few pennies on the dollar and hope to god someone will pay them. if they don't have a judgement against you tell them to kiss your ass.and if they have a judgement good luck collecting on it. does anyone answer there phone these days when it's not someone they know? there job must suck the big one

Called me at 8 PM CDT. Left a message to call back (800-604-0064, no extension). Tried calling back 5 minutes later, and got the message that their normal business hours are until 5 PM today.  If you're already closed, why are you calling me now?  Message did indicate it was a collection agency.  I don't have anything in collections, so I was not about to leave them a 'detailed message'.

They are Diversified Consultants and are now based in Jacksonville, Florida. They are nasty. There are HUNDREDS of complaints against them filed with the BBB and the FTC. I think they had to leave CA for unfair and illegal practices. Be forewarned.

Called me from 6144291605 when I called it back automation said difersified consultants. CID only said ohio call glad I didnt get call and was gone scammers are really getting on my nerves. These type of people call from every type of number under the sun demanding either jail investigation or some sorta crap is anyone ever going to get them to stop?

Bottom feeder debt collector - Diversified Consultants, Inc - calling my cell phone and my parents land-line in attempts to collect on my ex-boyfriend's Verizon bill.  They sent a collection notice that was dated January 01, 2016 but was post dated January 13, 2016 - a violation of the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act.
Called from (501)574-9325, (501)574-9433, and possibly (501)408-4820.  Left the call back number 800-604-0064.

I just received a letter from Diversified Consultants, Inc.  They are trying to say I owe them over $2000 and are also adding $395.35 for collection cost.  They can not charge any more that what the bill is.  Never received a call just a letter.  Also getting your number is easy.  Attorney Generals Office told me they use a program called Skip Tracer which not only gives them your number but anyone you have associated with that number.  They've call my dad, sister and brother over bogus information more times than I can count.

They are actually located in Jacksonville, FL but scramble their numbers when they call to make it look local. I suppose they think someone is more likely to answer the call if it appears to be a local number. Can you say shady?

They must be scammers, they keep calling me even though I've never been a Verizon customer and don't have any outstanding debts. Seems like a typical fake collector scam.
