Called back, message says Sentry.  If listen to phone tree it gives questions regarding collections type stuff.  Figure due to car that I got ripped on.  Paid 21,000, lost job 3 months later, turned over ready to resale (clean), they now say I owe an additional $9,900 (double what it should be).

Left this number and extension 3167. Sounded like speaking thru a voice altering machine. Really spooked me.

Received a call from number 425-257-9500, Caller ID showed them as SCI.  They left a voice message from a Joe Brown stating that he liked our message, and that he reassured us that he wasn't trying to sell me anything.  He asked for me to call him back at 800-608-2581.

He is from Sentry Credit Agency, and obviously is trying to collect a debt.

I just received the same msg stating "they had left a ridiculous amount of msgs and they now have the power to make a business decision on my behalf"  Did you ever get any resoolution to your similar phone call?

Keep getting automated voice messages from Sentry Credit (of course never identifying themselves)asking me to call 1-800-608-2581. I have always wondered over the years how these pathetic people sleep at night making a living doing what they do?  I have scrubbed toilets, I have cared for the sick and dying, I have sold my belongings in order to make a living - but never ever would I think of working for a collection company for a living. I put that job into the same category as "pimping", "selling organs on Ebay", "puncturing your ex-boyfriend's tires", "working the welfare system fraudulently" and over course the "Quick Cash Loan Offices". WOW!  Sad, Sad little souls that can only get those sneaky snake jobs.

Seriously. Should you be allowed to borrow money and never repay it? It's called stealing. You should be put in prison for it. You're lucky you just have someone calling you to demand payment. They're not pathetic for calling you, you're pathetic for being called. Pay your bills, honor your obligations, and you won't get called. How could you look at yourself in the mirror after saying their job is disgusting? It's not like they stole from anyone.

It really chaps me that after a year of paying these people, they still hide who they are and don't tell who it is that's calling (someone different almost every time).  Tell me who the heck you are already!  We have a business relationship, for crying out loud...

they call me over and over. The first time they asked for my husband by firt name only and I said he wasnt in can I take a message, assumiing they were from our church or another such call. But they were very rude and would not leave a message.
After about 10 such calls I discovered it was a man with the same first name but not the same last name. Its the wrong number altogether but they will not stop calling and now they are harrassing me verbally,. I have now reported them

This company has falsely accused and harassed us for years and years (16 years)merely because we have the same last name as a chronic truant.  They use the phone book and make no effort to assure accuracy.  It is nothing short of vigilante-style treatment in it's aggression.  We found the name of the company, Sentry, through this site.

You can put a STOP to these calls! Send them this Cease Communication letter (VIA CERTIFIED MAIL, with return receipt requested). If they continue to call after you have written proof they have received it, they can face fines of up to $1,000.00 PER violation:

My sister got a few calls on her cell phone asking for me saying they were sentry.  I've no reason to be in a collection agency and my credit history is perfect.  they left the same extension as above 3167.  Get your information correct and call the correct person.

Your government borrows trillions all the time, with no intention of ever repaying.    And they do it in your name too, you hypocrite.  And they do it  so that they can finance war and steal oil, all for your benefit, you disgusting hypocrite.  

USURY IS STEALING, YOU HYPOCRITE.   Anyone who does business with a bank, or credit agency is allowing themselves to be defrauded using phony bank credit.  So stop doing business with these hypocritical banksters!  
They don't have any real money anyway, they just print phoney credit!  

They just change the number in your account, and Voila!  you now have phoney credit.   Ever wonder why they never deny a loan by saying that they don't have the money?    They always have the money because they have a license to print it, no matter how much debt they are in.  

These banksters should get off their lazy rear ends and do some real work like the rest of us, because they are responsible for ruining the economy for everyone.  Actually, according to Christian scripture, these banksters  should get the death penalty, and the sooner the better.  

Look at Venezuela... oil rich, and no debt to the banksters.   Thats why they have to demonize Chavez... because they don't have their grubby hands in the Venezuelan economy...  yet!

I just received a call from these guys as well. I didn't answer since I had no idea who was calling and very few people know my cell phone number. They left a message stating that they had an important message for "Miguel Sanfelaquez (the last name was faint and hard to discern)" and that "This is not a sales call"
My name is not Miguel, I am not even Mexican, and I do not own a credit card. What is these people's scam they are running? I can't imagine they're calling random numbers for [***] and grins.

so funny as i know "joe brown" personally. sentry is a terrible company to work for but unfortunately as i past employee i know that they DO have a LEGAL DEPARTMENT and they do SUE AND GARNISH as i have sued over 100 people myself in my career there. there's a minimum lawsuit req. you have to file 20 suits a month. so if ya owe em pay em.

Thank you Alfalfa! I am taking your advice and sending off those letters in the morning. SCI employees are extremely rude, especially since I don't owe them anything, and have REPEATEDLY told them not to call back. Telling them not to call doesn't do anything except make them call more. I have fieled 4 calls from them today, and 3 yesterday. This kind of action from a collection agency to gain information about other people is beyond overboard. I hope they pay well, because my concious couldn't handle harrassing innocent bystanders. UGH!!!

So the millions of people getting laid of this year due to high oil prices never had an inention to repay and now are stealing. It must be the same reason alot of them are losing there house, they wanted to be a thief and homeless.

They called me about a  ten year old debt. My credit card company and I reached a settlement. Now they are trying to collect what amount the credit card company didn't get in the settlement. The settlement was legal. Sentry bought this collection from another debt collector. If they want to file legal proceedings, they can. Until I get a summons, Im not taking any calls from this number. Then I will produce the paperwork that I need in court.  Its such a scam to sell a collections account over and over.

Disgusted is speaking on behalf of debt collectors, probably is one.  You have no idea where people generated the debt or if its even legit.  It is stupid for anyone to just handover money to anyone that calls and demands it.

They've upgraded to a machine that tries to verify my name by tricking me into pressing 1 if it's me.  The message repeats a couple of times, and hangs up.  Pretty sneaky.

I'd really recommend that if you get a person, just start asking them really personal questions about their family life, etc.  Brush off every question with another question until they give up.  It's funny, and NO, they're not going to sue you.
