- K. D.| 2 repliesJust received a call from 800-624-0402 naming them selves as Simple Recovery Solutions. Saying they had some activity on my social security number. When I returned the call the office was closed. I believe this is a scam of some type to get personal information from me. I will not try to contact them again. But intend to report the incident to appropriate authorities. Sounds like other scam attempts I have known about.

Be careful dealing with them. - Joan G.I too received Simple Recovery Solutions in regards to lowering a credit card rate from 2009. What company waits 5 years to collect a debt ? I called my attorney and he said it sounded like a scam to him. The only thing these people will receive from me is a law suite.

- Jackie replies to John RaI am having the same problem. They keep calling me. And every time they ask for a different amount.
- A LSame exact thing. Same phone number 800-624-0402. A lady said owed a "Card Servicer" $323.31. Also, received a letter, But a month later I got a letter with an actual name of the Credit Provider "5 Star". And a totally different Amt & Ref#. I've never done any business with any company by this name. Nor do I believe in those companies that claim to lower interest rates. SCAM!

- Once a Fool replies to CWG40My wife and I were scammed several years back and now this Simple Recovery Solutions sent a letter to us claiming that we are in their collections system and need to pay hundreds of dollars. Having already been scammed once, we are very suspicious this time around. Their website gives no street address and seems very questionable. I've done some additional digging. Their website pinpoints a "headquarters" in Orlando Florida but when you look at a satelite image of this location the pinpoint falls right in the middle of the street. So I called some neighboring places around this spot to see if they were familiar with a Simple Recovery Solutions business near there. One of the would-be neighbors was a cathedral! They knew of no such business nor did a bank that was close by.
I went to the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau website which was very helpful. I would suggest anyone who is contacted by these people go to this link for some help:

We're going to trust our gut on this and not give in to these low-lifes who prey on the unsuspecting. - Cathy replies to Charlie StollingsMy dad received two letters regarding the same amount you mentioned. We disregarded the 1st letter and I'm guessing I should disregard this one.
- rocktI have received letters, and phone calls from Simple Recovery Solutions, demanding payment for services never rendered. The first time they had a wrong birth date, and wrong mother's maiden name. They woman on the phone said to disregard the letter. Regardless, another letter was sent, still demanding payment of $304.78 cents. I even spoke to this " account Manager " named Michael Speers, if it is his real name, and told him that no services were rendered, and I will not pay them. I tracked the date he indicated to my credit card use in booking a motel room in Pennsylvania. I then noticed an unauthorized charge from some company in Orlando, Florida for $891. I immediately called Citicards, and had this charge removed as unauthorized. The result is this company is trying to scam me out of money over this false charge. I received another letter today from them, and another message on my phone from " Michael Speers " regarding " personal, and pertinent information regarding my credit. I am very angry over this attempt to steal my hard earned money, and the type of harassment they are using.
