1-800-633-4766 is OhioEdison A First Energy Company (Customer Service)

This number called my business and told my employee that there was an emergency with my elecric account (I don't have Ohio Edison, I have Dayton Power) and that I had to call them back within one hour at 855-247-2931 to resolve it. My employee didn't catch the name or any other information because the caller "had a funny accent" that she couldn't understand. SCAM!!

We recieved a call from this number stating that they would be at our office to disconnect electric at the meter in 45 minute.  The woman on the phone could not speak english

Man called stating that we had not paid our bill in months, advised it was paid, as well as all prior months, guy got an attitude stating I was lying, I advised him that I knew this was a scam, as they had just done this about a month prior.  Some how scammers are able to use the actual First Energy phone number to make themselves look ligit, but as you will notice, on these calls, they ALWAYS tell you that you have to call back to such and such number.  After the first time this happened we called our provider, verified our payments were fine, then advised them that this scammer is using their actual number to scam people.

Called office about 30 minutes ago, informed our receptionist that our power will be turned off due to lack of payment.

We get numerous calls from this number every week regarding our First Energy account.  We do not have First Energy.  Our electricity is provided by our village and they are the ones that bill everyone where I live.  The people on the are always foreign and very hard to understand.

Revived a call. Called ID said Ohio Edison.  Woman in the other end had a very thick Indian accent and said she could save me some money on my electric bill.  I said no thank you and hung up.  I really doubt this was Ohio Edison and the called ID was spoofed.  You could heat a lot of people in the background talking like it was a call center.  Ohio Edison never calls me for anything, they send things in the mail with my electric bill. I suspect this is a scam

Called 2/26/19.  Let it ring for 9 times then it stopped.  Was 800 number from Ohio Edison but I don't pick up calls I don't recognize or expect.  I will wait for Ohio Edison mailing if this is legit.  I suspect SCAM caller!

This number continually calls.  Rings forever.  If I pick up and say take me off your call list, right away they say it isn't a robo or telemarketer.  They say they are calling from Ohio Edison.  I say send it in the mail.  I wish they would quit calling all hours of the day and night.   Foreign accents.

I answered and there was a pause, then a click and some guy, clearly in a call center with a heavy accent, kept saying hello. I hung up since there's no reason a call center should have my unlisted landline. Searching the phone number it comes up Ohio Edison, yet we don't have any Ohio Edison account - our electric is done through the city. Clearly this is a scam spoofing a legit phone number.

I have gotten calls a couple of times this week from this number saying my power will be shut off due to lack of payment but all . My bills have been paid so this is definitely some kind of scam.   I have hung up on them each time and my electric was not shut off in 45 minutes as the recording said

call bussines say it Ohio Edsion and if don't call back in 30 mintues they will be out to shut off electric don't have ohio edsion have Cuyahagoa Fall electirc when call numbe back 3 hours late that the left 800-588-3716 says it a gas company i talk to person ask why they keep calling but they hung up on me

2/27/2020 - robocall from "Ohio Edison" saying our electric will be shut off if we don't call - blah, blah.  We don't even have Ohio Edison - and, our bill is paid.  SCAM

Caller was a recorded message saying my service would be disconnected, didn’t say what service.

They called and left a voicemail saying
"To process your payments. Please press 1. To speak to a customer service representative. Please press 2. Your satisfaction is very important to us. So please avoid being disconnected. Thank you for choosing our service, and have a wonderful rest of your day." They also had very unfitting music in the background of that voicemail. Also I don't have anything through Ohio Edison.

Scam. Man speaking broken English calling me to tell me that my electric bill had not been paid and that my electric bill will be shut off if I do not pay within the next 20 minutes. Told me I could either go to an office or he could "give me a number to call to have it paid." I asked him to verify the address. He did and I told him that I had not lived in that place for the last 6 years. He then hung up the phone on me.

Today I have received SEVEN calls from this number.   No caller ID, so I did not pick up.   but obviously a scam.
