Message about someone using my phone number and name to fraudulently apply for credit. Said the name of the business is "Evergreen Acquisitions".

They said they are CRA!!

Said our assets and account were being seized

Was it a scam?

They call me on my cell phone with a automated message saying that they are the Canadian Revenu Agency and my asset / bank account will be seized if I don't call back at 1-800-640-8124. I call the ARC (revenu agency) not the number they ask me to call  and they confirmed that I'm not in debt neither that I will get seized.

I received a similar message to call back in order to stop the legal actions and paper work( from someone  with an Indian accent) on my cell phone . The beginning what cut on my voice mail.

A man left a message claiming the CRA are initiating a legal proceeding against my name. He said a bill collector would be coming to my home to complete the paper work in order for this to stop.

repeated urgent  calls to my cell. say they are cra .  indian accent.   threaten legal proceedings and debt collection officer taking action against me if I do not call  ( dec 4th to 11th , 2017)

They called at 5:46 a.m. -  that's a little early in the morning for me - not only did they disturb my sleep - but they are also CRA scammers

They cost me 15$ and I don't even know who they are. When I called someone extremely rude and impolite answer and hang up on my face. They should get reported to the police because they are thiefs

They called with an automated message saying my social security has been compromised...
