This is National Imaging Associates.  I just got a call from them, but DON'T have a plan by them.  I'm not feeling great and they want to bother me.  Time for me to [***] them out!

National Imaging Associates is a vendor used by insurance companies to arrange pre-authorization for medical imaging services. Legitimate call, not a prank.

They are legit ins company uses them for authorizations on imaging. Unfortunately, they don' leave msgs so I wouldn't have known if I didn't look the number up. almost missed my authorization

They are required to send that authorization through the US Mail.  I have never received a phone call from anyone telling me anything medical was authorized by the insurance company, who by the way would be doing the authorization and not some outside company.

woman or robo message calling about my employment insurance benefits   I hung up.  I am very old. No employ benefits.  Other people live here; caller did not even identify if she meant certain other people who might live here.
Consider scan even if call from agency that works real insurance companies.

I received  a robo call from NIA. I did a redial on the number that called. The gentleman who answered asked my name and birthdate and could not find any information that they called me. He said said it must have been a misdial. Apologized and hung up.

Yes they do send by mail. I have received calls from this number but they dont go thru and I had my WRITTEN authorization 3 days before. Hmmmmm

a recorded message asking me to call my doctor for medical questions and for more info to call them back with my medical insurance info  - not a chance
