This is a Duke Energy phone scam.  Said technician is on the way to turn off my power.
Said they had sent several late notices.  Said I had to connect Duke Energy business office immediately and gave me this phone number 1-800-657-0827.  I called that number and a recorded message sounded like duke energy.  Person said no record of payments, must make immediate $900 payment.  I said then, this sounds like a scam, turn off my power.

I literally just experienced the same thing.  I confirmed that it is NOT Duke Energy.  Duke rep reported scam call to police.  I called 800 number back and gave me a mouthful.  They had the nerve to return the call; to which, I laid into them again.  I just don't understand why people cannot get a respectable job.
