This is a call from JCP&L for after you received a shut off notice.

Robocall from Jersey Central Power & Light about the two week long March ‘18 power outage in New Jersey.

You  cannot reach anyone from JP&L via this website as it has nothing to do with them. Call them at their business number during normal customer service hours. You can find that information on their website.

This comes up as a “AT&T Spam Alert”.
Is this true?

NO MESSAGE LEFT.   Ringing our phone for 3 days straight - Suspect SPAM.

Call saying that you electricity will be cut off within 30 minutes. Since I don't use a company called 1 Energy Co. it is a scam. They ask that you call them back at another number 800-544-5186.

PATRICK CALLED SAYING JCPL HAS WORK ORDER #789869 TO SHUT OFF POWER

Got a call from them asking about my account number to give me $125 rebate. When I asked for a number to call them back on when I got home they said they didn't have a number . I told them I do not give personal info over the phone and they hung up on me .... I don't even have a jcp account I live in Florida .

This is a robocall, ostensibly from a legit power company or affiliate. It's not. This is a well-documented scam:

Given that I don't live in New Jersey or have a phone there, this is odd, but they seem to be on a huge offensive via robocall now. With the message 3x to call 1-800-621-7050.

Reported to FTC/DNC as you should do if you get this, as they may be able to nail this criminal if they've got a real phone number traceable back to their criminal den. The CID number is spoofed.

They called today  - said I was eligible for a 15% discount since we paid our bill on time the last 3 months.  I hung up, I'm sure it is a scam.

Caller ID was "1ST ENERGY CO."  All caller IDs with "energy" are blocked by our telephone system, since they are one scam or another.

This number calls our home quite frequently and it is a recording.  I called the number back and a recording said  they were JCP&L.

Scammers pretending to call from local electric company. They're now blocked.
